Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
(in advanced, im sorry for the long Build. Hopefully you read it all, please leave commits if you have any Question. This build may be hard to understand.)
So I've notice a lot of people don't seem to know how to play Caitlyn correctly. So instead of someone else stealing my build this time, I thought I'd post it. Caitlyn is an excellent harasser, and has enough range to pretty much entirely avoid fights; With enough practice, and a little skill. She can be very fun to play, and might just be the champion your looking for.
Pros / Cons
Great Ranged Champion
can out harass anyone
Is a better mid then Ashe
Very Squishy at early levels
low damage (although you really don't need it with her)
Very Slow moving
Hard to keep your kills in team fights
Mid - Best Option - if you wish to carry
sides - Most likely your lane partner will steal all your kills, and you will take on a big support role.
From 1-5 pretty much during this time, you should just be harassing your opponent. Try not to commit to a fight, and if your about to get ganked a well timed E (the Net) will save you. Just last hit minions, and keep the pressure on your opponent. About 3ish is when she starts picking up speed, and you should be able to kill your Opponent (with a bit of tricky).
6-10 Now you got your ult and your ready to start ganking fools. At this time I'd recommend picking up a couple wards (Although clairvoyance is a nice replacement). You'd be surprised how many times the Wards have not only saved me from getting ganked by 3 people but got me a double or triple kill. the idea here is to get them to chase you by spamming you Q. If they don't come in for a fight, one you got them low Ult and dead. Now if they do Chase you its as simple as Q,E,Q,Q,E,R
11-18 By this time, hopefully you'll be fed enough and be completely dominating. You should be at least. Striking Fear into your opponents hearts that a sniper may hit them at anytime, leaving them dead without a fight. Usually at this time im roaming the jungle, Setting my self up for an easy kill. Just Set up a couple Traps, Get behind them R,Q,Q,E,Q if there not dead something is wrong.
I believe the runes I've picked out up there are the best for her. Although if your finding it hard to surviving early levels, then just switch out the 3 quints for HP quints. It should solve your problem.
For Masteries I believe that 9/0/21 is the best. Because, although it may seem like you need the extra armor, and HP from the Def tree you really don't. Caitlyn can be quite tanky late game. Were as you do need the Ghost Mastery, the movement speed, the MP Regen, and the CD. All of that really helps. Although 21/0/9 is a possible mastery build for her to. Try them both out and tell me what you think.
Well the only thing I can think of to put here, is really that remember SPAM your Q, its a skill shot so be sure to aim to were there moving rather than were they are at. This build is made To spam Q. E is your escape Mechanism don't waste it, it can save your life a lot. Literally pushing you over walls and slowing your enemy. It can also be your chasing ability, Whether you choose to use it to throw you closer to your opponent or Strategically use it so that you lose no ground and slow your opponent is up to you. All of those are good uses.
Ghost - In my Opinion is a much have for Caitlyn Due to her slow speed.
Exhaust - Basically Useless for her they shouldn't be getting close enough for you to need this.
Ignite - Very handy for those Early Game kills - My personal Fav
Clairvoyance - VERY, Very useful. Lets say you don't like buying wards. This summoner can be the difference in that champ just barley getting away, or him not getting away at all. its as simple as R (Boom! HEADSHOT!)
Yet again, sorry for the length. I was a bit tired when i wrote this; so let me know if you see anyway I may improve this guide. This guide is in progress so expect to see improvements to it at a later time. If you have any questions, or comments feel free to ask. ( I will be adding Pictures, and Maybe a video Later on)
