The guide itself is quite solid, however I think it'd be more efficient if you'd exchange Greater seal of force with Greater seal of replenishment since you would get about 4 mp5 instead of 16 AP at lvl 18. Also I would start with Quints of speed for that extra movement speed throughout the game as for magic penetration, you could buy a midgame Haunting Guise since it gives HP, AP and magpen...

I was wondering what people would do with the DFG nerf. Not much, it seems in this guide.

Archangel's Staff and Rabadon's Deathcap make your build far too expensive.

Skill sequence should be Q E Q W Q R. Spamming your W early in the game will only lead to OOM, even with a Meki Pendant. In addition, Event Horizon is better if you get a lvl 2 gank, or your laning opponent gets aggressive. And wtf is with the rest of your skill maxing? Focus on maxing one skill first for primary damage. You should max R, then Q, then E and then W.

Meki Pendant start isn't as effective as Doran's Ring if you're not going boots and pots. Doran gives AP, HP and mana regen. The most efficient start for Veigar who needs all of these stats to farms safely in lane. In addition, I wouldn't build a Tear of the Goddess or an Archangel's Staff necessarily - takes too long to charge up and Veigar simply doesn't spam his abilities enough to get the best of this, imo. Veigar needs AP immediately and a Tear of the Goddess would slow this down far too much.

You don't explain your items and nor do you consider alternative possibilities, like Abyssal Mask - you have 30 MRes. You can be virtually 2-hit by any mage in the game...

A flat AP Quint start makes it easier for Veigar to last hit his Q... No defensive runes? God, you just want to die, don't you?
