this is an initiator/support build. no doubts about it. some changes can be made depending on how you intend to play Aatrox. This suggest a variation for Aatrox just incase the situation calls for.

Because people wanna be different so they write a guide on how to play a champion in a role he/she completely fails at (jungle Nami, anyone?) and try to argue their position without realizing it just makes them look like they're Bronze V.

If you're playing him as a duelist, you probably aren't playing him support.

More and more and more people coming to this guide and downvoting it because "THAT'S NOT HOW YOU PLAY AATROX TOP LANE!!!!"

... which is why I wrote this a support guide and not a top lane guide. No. This is NOT how you'd play him as a duelist. Brilliant observation. If you want a guide on how to play him top lane or jungle, then go ****in find one.

Also, Gold II isn't really THAT high in comparison to what is available.

It's pretty OP, I gotta say. I have yet to do poorly with him as a support and he develops into a beautiful tank. I dunno. I think people ought to give this a try before bashing it purely on gut feeling and theories. It works quite well at a ~Silver II playing level.

Anything can be viable in Bronze 4 (aka your elo) -1
