There is a place between dimensions, between worlds. To some it is known as the Outside, to others it is the Unknown. To most, however, it is called the Void. Cho'gath is a creature born of the Void, a thing whose true nature is so horrific most will not speak its name. Its fellows have been poking at the dimensional walls for a crack, a way into Runeterra, where they can visit their own personal paradise of horror upon the world. A way in they have found, as something dark stirs in Icathia, perverting the summoning rituals of the League to allow the presence of Cho'gath. Fortunately, the power of the summoning has chained Chogath to the League of Legends, where it uses its Voidborn abilities to help decide the fate of the world. It knows what it would choose, if given half the chance.
''Woe betide the day when Chogath grows weary of the League.''
So basically Cho gath is a tank with an amazing knack for spell casting. He is good all around but his attack is fairly weak. That is why I recommend buying things that up your attack so that you can strike fear into the enemy with not only your massive size but also the damage you can do to a champions health. Now im not saying that you should forget completely about buying armor and things that boost your health and go all in on attack. But rather, find a nice balance. Atleast that's how I play.
For starters you should buy the vampiric ceptor so that you can get some life steal to add to your passize "carnivore" this will help you stay in your lane for a longer amount of time because it will help you regain health. Dont be foolish or you will not last long as a Cho Gath. You need to completely dominate your lane and show that it is your territory. Don't let the other team killl you early in the game and whatever you do DO NOT CHASE EARLY IN THE GAME WHEN NEAR AN ENEMY TURRET unless you know that the odds are in your favor 100:1. Save it for later on. Trust me.
Now about when you get leviathon the game should be heating up. (when playing a more defensive game get warmogs armor before leviathon) however, if you find that your team is on the offensive you are gonna want to get your stacks with leviathon up as quickly as possible.
AS CHOGATH YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WANT TO DIE OR YOU WILL LOSE VALUABLE FEAST STACKS. When in doubt buy armor and health defensive items.
