Chapter 1
NOTE: This guide's for OFF-TANK Cho'Gath.
6-15-9. In Utility take movement speed and bonus mana to keep your abilities flowing and to grant you extra mobility. Also, I take Neutral Buff duration. In defence take flat health and health per level, and reduced minions damage as well as Bladed Armor. Also take improved Smite. In Offence take AP and 1 points in AD so that you can take improved Ghost.
Your first major buy should be Rod of Ages, as all of it's stats are important for Cho'Gath. Take Sheen first for Trinity Force. Trinity Force is especially good for Cho'Gath, as it benefits with all of it's stats. Also he has exeptional mobility with the Movement Speed. Wit's End will give you great damage output, as well as magic resist. Because Cho'Gath is a tank and initiator, he can keep Wit's End full Stacked.
Finally, Rylai's Crystal Scepter will give a lot of damage, durability and battlefield contronling, by crowd-controling large groups of enemies. Atma's Impaler will give a lot of durability and damage, and it combines very well with Feast, as gaining health will give you damage. I don't have added them, but when you have finished your items, take elixirs to increase your damage and durability.
As I jungle with Cho'Gath, I bring at Rank 3 by Level 5, but max it at Levels 17 and 18, after I maxed all of his other abilities. I max Feral Scream by Level 10, to combine the silence with strong AOE damage. Rupture a very strong AOE by it's own, so i max it second, by Level 15. I take Feast whenever I can of course.
Your jungle route should be typical enough. Have a teammate to pull the ancient golem and take it down with Smite. Then transition to the wolves, wraiths, golems if you need health, as your passive will give you health adn mana for killing them, take out the Lizard Elder adn head to gang lanes. Lead with Rupture and Feral Scream and land basic attakcs with Vorpal Spikes.
