Hello, This is my first build I'm making, and I hope you all enjoy it. The whole idea behind this build is to have enough survivability to take some hits, and have enough power to plow through your enemies! I'm going to do my best to describe my reasoning behind this buy order/Runes/masteries.
I selected these runes in particular because it gives armor, ability power, magic pen, and some extra hp (lets face it, it's always nice to have more hp). I've been fiddling with some rune builds, and I found they work pretty well with Cho'Gath, but some of you more experienced players might disagree, which is fine. The runes themselves also work well for a couple other AP based characters, I found them to be pretty versatile.
The masteries were in all honestly kind of thrown together. Feel free to comment on how to change them, or anything along those lines.
Early game, these items are... odd at best. But later in the game, those earlier 3 purchases make a ton of impact. I went with the Mercury Treads first, because that extra magic resist + move speed early game helps against any casters you may come up against, and the Guardian Angel is really nice since it allows you a second chance to either A: escape or B: get an extra attack in for a kill. The last 2, the Nashor's tooth, and the Guinsoo's Rageblade, are very nice to have for Cho'Gath in my opinion. Once again, this is in MY opinion, so if you disagree, feel free to post any changes that you think may benefit this character. The rageblade adds some extra attack speed, and some ability power to your character as you attack, which adds up to some crazy damage. The Nashor's Tooth is there for once again, more attack speed and ability power. It all adds up to some crazy damage.
These spells are in my opinion great for some early game gankage. Exhaust + Ignite + rupture + feral scream. And if you have Feast off CD, it'll be some nasty damage you did in a few short seconds. I have a lot of success with these spells, and I'm thinking you will too.

In summary, this build is for a bit of survivability against all forms of damage. With the AP and speed of the attacks, you can do major damage to someone very very quickly. The runes that I chose are really interchangeable between a few other champions, so as to save you some IP if you don't exactly want to spend a lot of IP to rune out different champions. Overall I believe that if you try this spec, you should have a lot of fun with it.
