Hello and welcome to my first guide on Mobafire! I don't really have much to say here, I've been playing League of Legends for like a year or so... Hope this guide will be helpful :D

So... You might be wonder why Cinderhulk Shyvana Toplane? Well, let me tell you just that!
Pros:
- High damage output thanks to her passive
- She is very fun to play because her kit is very unique
- SHE IS A DRAGON!!!

Cons:
- She is very vulnerable to ganks(but she has high mobility and her ult can be used to escape with)
- She has low mobility in Dragon Form(but high dmg+all her dmg turns aoe so she is very good at teamfighting if the enemys are grouped)

I take Hybrid Marks because Shyvana does alot of Mixed damage.
Then I want Scaling Health Seals because Shyvana's Passive gives her extra AD from building hp(that's the reason that we build lots of health).
The rest of the Runes are used for being as tanky as possible, to survive longer to do more dps(damage per second).

I put most of my masteries in the defensive tree because we want to be as tanky as possible as I've probably said like 10 times now. Why wouldn't I go for extra damage in the masteries? Because we don't need more damage due to our passive ones again.

Steraks is pretty useless, shyvana doesn't really excel with attack speed unless you build devourer which doesn't work toplane.

Maw is not so good because shyvana will lack the hp from other items to make her stronger.

Banshee's is only good vs burst, shyvana is supposed to tank so if she get bursted she's not tanky enough.

Titanic Hydra is better than Ravenous.

Thornmail only gives you armor and not hp.

Sunfire is only good in early game, shyvana is more of a lategame tank/tank shredder.

Frozen Mallet isn't so viable on Shyvana, the slow is pretty nice so could work.

Black Cleaver gives a nice movement speed buff which can help her out to catch up to people, although Dead Man's Plate is a better choice for movement speed.

Bork(Blade of the ruined King) would be a viable option if we weren't going for this particular build where we want to have as much health as possible for that titanic hydra to do as much damage as possible.

Because Shyvana has so much aoe dmg she can easily clear waves and because you have smite you can take camps while waiting for a new wave to come. Also in toplane farm is very important and if Shyvana gets ahead in farm or kills she can easily start snowballing.

Your job as a tank is to take the dmg from the enemys, you should therefore stay in frontline in teamfights but something very rewarding you can do is to ult the enemys backline and try to kill their carries but this can also be very dangerous to do if you get too far away from you're allies which could then make you die and if the tank dies the fight is lost because then the enemys will just kill the other part of your team who aren't as tanky as you are.
