Hello! I'm Kittehkat and this is my Evelynn guide! Evelynn has been "nerfed" to rock bottom. Many say she isn't even capable of winning games. I disagree completely. Yes, she's been nerfed, and badly might I add, but that doesn't mean we can't work around the nerfs. This build is tested in the new patch in over 50 games, and most of them won. I'm not saying she's invincible, but she is still a very good carry.

Masteries

Masteries I Chose!

Offensive Tree
Brute Force for some extra damage early game (You'll need it, since Eve is weak early game)
Mental Force Again, good for early game.
Alacrity One of the better Masteries as it gives a % as opposed to a predefined number.
Sorcery Seriously, who doesn't want cooldown reduction?
Arcane Knowledge Pretty much necessary on Evelynn. Since your main damage output will be coming from spells, this will increase your damage.
Archmage Again, I'm picking percents rather than flat numbers because percents can help you throughout the whole game, as opposed to a flat number. Think of it this way: At level 18, with (let's say) 400 AP, 4 ability power won't matter much, but 5% of 400 is 20 AP, which seems like a better deal to me.
Executioner Pretty much necessary in any Mastery Tree, but Evelynn should always be targeting champions with lower HP, therefore, this is a great mastery.
Utility Tree
Good Hands I hate waiting to respawn, don't you?
Expanded Mind The only flat number I actually like because 216 mana (at lvl 18) means you can use an extra Shadow Walk and Ravage
Swiftness Because... Movement Speed.
Runic Affinity This is always good because even if you aren't getting Blue or Red directly, you should be getting it from all the kills you are racking up.

Masteries I Disagree With!

Butcher Works with her Passive, but meh.
Demolitionist Not your job.
Vampirism I don't think Life Steal Eve is viable in any case.
Blast What are you going to do with 18 extra AP at lvl 18? Seriously... That's a waste of 4 points.
Greed Waste of 4 points again. Someone in the comments suggested I get this, however, after doing some math, you can still see that it is a pointless mastery. 2 gold every 10 seconds means 12 gold every minute. Your "Early Game" Should end once you have Lich Bane, and for me, this is usually at 14-20 minutes into the game. 12x20=240. With 240 gold, I wouldn't even have enough to buy an extra Doran's Blade. You can get it if you want, but the math is right there.

Recommended Summoner Spells

I prefer Ghost on most of my champions, however, Eve already has a built in ghost; her ulti. Therefore, I choose Flash because its something she doesn't have, and it also works awesomely with her kit. Think of it like this: You're about to kill a kass, then he flashes through a wall... SO YOU FLASH IN AFTER HIM, AND KILL THE SON OF A *****. NIGGA Ignite is good on most champions, however on Eve, it's eh. Most of the time with eve, if your target's HP is that low that ignite would kill it, then you should probably just Hate Spike to finish him off (I'll go into greater detail in the Gameplay section). However, it's good for early game, and that's when you struggle the most. NIGGA Exhaust Is always good on Assassination champs. It helps you slow them and catch up to them. Most people also say it's good for defensive purposes, but I've played many games where theres more than one champion chasing you, and wouldn't help as much. However, it's still a viable option, I just think her speed makes up for it.

  • Determined Killer: This is her passive, and although many people claim it is useless, that's because they don't realize how much it helps Eve. The main reason I love her passive is because she is a champion based on stealth, and try and think back to the last time you broke out of stealth to hit your enemy that was surrounded by a wave of minions. Remember how they all targeted you? Well, you probably would have died if it wasn't for this passive! It helps tons early and late game because of the fact that when you go in to attack an enemy, if he's alone with his minions, the minions won't do as much damage to you, therefore, you don't have to worry about dying from the damage they do.
  • Hate Spike (Q): Many people may disagree with maxing this first, but this is her main damage output especially since this build is focused around AP. The cooldown on this is 0.8 secs without any Cooldown Runes or the Nashor's Tooth which means your finger should be constantly hitting it when fighting someone. It does 85 damage plus 28% of Ability Power. With a finished build, you should be doing 204 damage per half second (The Runes and Nashor's Tooth Will help immensely with the Cooldown). Add that with your Ravage, unless the target is a tank, they should be dead in a couple of seconds.
  • Shadow Walk (W): This is why everyone hates Eve. There are so many different ways you can use Shadow Walk to your advantage, I won't go into them. I'll have a section focused on how to use your Shadow Walk. The main idea here is that it's a multi purpose action, and you should try to be stealthed as much as possible. Some will claim that it's easily countered by Oracle's Elixir but not really. Your stealth is good for 2 reasons: staying unknown to the enemy, and the slow that it gives when you break stealth. If you take away the fact that you're hidden, you still have the slow. Therefore, the best thing to do when facing someone who was smart enough to buy an Oracle's Elixir, go sit in a brush, and when they come near, jump out at them, or even flash out at them. You'll still have the element of surprise and the slow. Also make sure to let your team know how important it is that he's dead. For more tips on how to use Shadow Walk Click Here!   • Ravage (E): Many argue that this is Eve's bread and butter, and I agree... Sort of. This is Eve's opener. It's made for initiating the fight, and letting your opponent know it's time to run now. Ravage does CRAZY damage at lvl 18. It does 320 damage plus 100% of your AP which is 426 at lvl 18. In total this is 746 damage being done in one hit. However, because of it's long cooldown, it cannot be spammed. In fact, the only time you use this is for openers and sometimes if the target has actually accumulated some space between you and him, you can use it as a finisher (because it has a further range than Hate Spike). Some people max it first, but I think this should be maxed second because at early levels, you'll have a hard opener, but you won't be able to sustain the damage and kill the target. Realistically, Eve's shining time is late game. Until then, it's FARM FARM FARM FARM FARM.
