Hi, my name is Crancher and im from Germany.
I'm playing Teemo 2 years in many different ways.
I played AP/Hybrid/AD and so on.
But now im at a point were i created my own way to play him.
I had a problem with survivability on Teemo, because of this i choose defensive runes and masteries. The way i liked Teemo most was AS/On-hit effect so i choose this for the most part of my build. And thats how i found the perfect way to play Teemo for ME.
Pls commend and rate this guide and give me some feedback.
BUT: Dont leave a comment before trying this guide pls.
And Note: Your Main damage will be magic.

Pros / Cons
- Good damage over time
- Free wards from lv6 on
- Can blind champions (Helpfull when you blind the ad carry)
- Does good magic and physical damage
- Fast, even without items
- Very squishy without defensive items (Works pretty well with my masteries and runes)
- No real CC (Just slow from shrooms and blind from Q)
Greater Quintessence of Desolation I use armorpen quintessences.
That makes laning phase very easy in combination with your dorans blades you can simply punish you enemies.
Greater Mark of Desolation Here i use armorpen too.
I use flat armor here normally for survivvability against ad enemies
I use flat magic resist at my glyphs for survivability against ap enemies
I'm Using 9/21/0.
9 in Offense for Critchance/improved Echaust/Atackspeed/Armorpen - Or simply: For DAMAGE
21 in Defense forArmor/Magic Resist/Dodge/Health/Atackspeed - Or simply: For SURVIVABILITY
Camouflage If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for 2 seconds, he becomes stealthed indefinitely. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 40% for 3 seconds.
Nice passive. Here a little trick: At the beginning of a match, try to buy and go to your lane as fast as possible then try to place yourself good and get stealthed there. If the enemies are coming try to harrass or even kill them with the extra atackspeed + your Doran's Blade.
Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+80% of ability power) magic damage to the target unit, blinding them and causing all their attacks to miss for the duration.
This ability is great! Not for the damage, but for blinding the enemy ad-carry which should be your first target. Very awesome in combination with Exhaust.
(Passive): Grants 10% / 14% / 18% / 22% / 26% increased movement speed until struck by a champion or turret. The passive is restored 5 seconds (static cooldown) after last being struck by a champion or turret.
(Active): For 3 seconds,Teemo gains double his passive movement speed and will not lose it even if he is hit.
This is great for chasing, escaping and general mobility. I max this second.Use this to secure kills, dont be scared to take 1-2 towershots if you get a sure kill for it.
(Passive): Each time Teemo attacks an enemy, he will poison the target, dealing 9 / 18 / 27 / 36 / 45 (+14% of ability power) magic damage on hit and 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 (+14% of ability power) each second for 4 seconds.
This is Teemos' "Bread and Butter" skill. THIS makes Teemo deal heavy magic damage with every basic atack and takes a DoT onto the enemy chamions. In combination with Malady and Madred's Bloodrazor (and maybe Wit's End ) Teemo will be able to do heavy magic and physical damage.
Teemo places a trap which stealths and arms in 1.5 seconds. It detonates if an enemy steps on it, dealing 200 / 400 / 600 (+80% of ability power) magic damage by poisoning nearby enemies and slowing them by 30% / 40% / 50% for 4 seconds. The traps last 10 minutes. Teemo will store one every 35 / 31 / 27 seconds, and can have a maximum of three stocked up. Each cast requires and uses a trap. After death, you respawn with 2 mushrooms.
This is awesome. Since Level 6 you got as much wards as you want and the best is: You dont have to pay for it and this wards deal damage and are slowing enemies. Tell me... What could be better? Really... What?
My favorite spells are Flash and Exhaust
Flash - for mostly defensive reasons for example to flash over walls while escaping (also chasing)
Exhaust - To do your job better. btw: your job is to kill the ad carry, blinding and exhausting him so he cant deal any damge to you and your team.
Other viable choices:
Ghost - Who likes this over Flash shall take this. It can be used offensive and defensive too. But i prefer Flash for "Wallhopping".
Cleanse - This should only be used against heavy CC teams and even then think about if this is really better then Flash
Ignite - If you like to secure kills/Deny Healing/Kill tanks easier shall use this spell instead of Exhaust
Heal - This Spell only helps you in 1v1 situations. But these wont happen that much.
This Spell is useless from Midgame on cause the amount of healing wont save you in any Clash.
Revive - Dont take this... simply dont do!
Smite - To take this is not your job. Its the junglers job.
Teleport - You are fast enough with Move Quick . You dont need this.
Fortify - Not viable in most games.
Clarity - You wont have mana issues. The only ability you will spamm whenever you can is your Noxious Trap
Rally - I wouldnt choose this on any champion.
Clairvoyance - Again: It is not you job. You are not a supporter.
My standard item-build:
I start with a Doran's Blade.
[ 100HP for Survivability/10 AD for bonus damage/3% Lifeleach are also nice ]
1st trip back i buy 1-2 Doran's Blade + Boots of Speed . I will upgrade the boots to Mercury's Treads after Madred's Razors normally
Next item is Madred's Razors .
[ 15 AD for damage 23 armor for survivability and the passive for better farming ]
After this i buy normally Malady .
[ 25 AP makes poison, shrooms and Q deal more damage and Atackspeed is great ]
Often i build here a Philosopher's Stone when i have a strong harasser on my lane, so i can regenerate even withour basic atacks. Sell it later.
Next step is upgrading Madred's Razor to Madred's Bloodrazor .
[ Atack Speed + additional magic damage per hit is great in combination with E and Malady]
Now buy Phage and uprade it to Frozen Mallet ASAP.
[ AD for damage + Health for survivability + Slow cause as teemo you got not much CC ]
Next Item i build is Guardian Angel cause i am focused down most games and with this i have a "second chance".
Last Item is The Black Cleaver (normally you wont have this item cause the game has to last like 50 minutes to get this item) main reason why I buy this is because the enemies should have much magic resist right now, this item will allow you to do damage even when the enemies bought MR.
[AD is always good + Atackspeed and armorpen = Good Lategame Item]
Other viable items for Teemo are:
Hexdrinker - for example against a Karthus (sell it in lategame)
Atma's Impaler - If the enemy-team has many physical damage you can buy this after Frozen Mallet
Berserker's Greaves - You can get these if the enemy team has not much CC and/or magic damage
Wit's End - Buy this sword if the enemy team has much magical damage. I prefer to buy it instead of Malady then.
Guinsoo's Rageblade - I dont buy this item very often on Teemo cause i dont like AP on Teemo but i take this when my team has not much magic-damage.
Nashor's Tooth - Same as Rage Blade
Banshee's Veil - I buy this when one single stun or nuke destroys me in every teamfight
Youmuu's Ghostblade - I dont like this on Teemo but sure you could give this item a try
Try to farm as much as possible. Dont atack the creeps much. If you are harrassed you HAVE TO autohiz simply to regenerate with your Doran's Blade.
Try to harrass by yourself as much as you can. Your goal is
either: let your enemy hug his tower, so he loses a lot of creeps.
or: harrass him so much that hehas to go back to base very often in laning phase.
If your enemies let you too much harrass you can get 1-3 early kills which will help you a lot.
