The calculator isn't showing movement speed correctly is should be around 457MS which gives roughly + 40 ad and with e active at full speed it should be around 600MS with an even larger boost for quick burst damage and health should be at around 2.5k and damage of around 327 and mana around 1.2k crit about 70% armour about 160 MR about 150 these site bugs

When thinking about masteries for hecarim, as an ad based champ with off tank capabilities you have to take into consideration hecarim's passive and while the standard 21/9/0 masteries work fine taking the movement speed from the utility tree will enable small ad boost on hecarim as well as the movement speed itself. As hecarim already has inbuild sustain with his W there is no need to take the lifesteal in the damage tree and personally would just go with the + 1.5% damage for overall dps. The tank tree is something worth noting as hecarim can be bullied easily in lane due to his lack of heavy damage early game and with no build champions like teemo can easily poke down hecarim with easy and no trade capabilities are availible and the flat MR/Armour can be useful in that respect although taking defence runes would not be as easily advised again do to the lack of damage even with damage runes. While facing certain champions it may seem easy to bully them but always beware that hecarim cannot keep his sustain up for long. personally id take the 21/0/9 option i have shown as it gives you more damage to trade and makes it easier for sustain with W.

When deciding which runes to use with hecarim you must take into consideration his passive and whether you feel you want to incorporate that into the building of your hecarim rune page. personally i feel the standard flat ad quints, flat ad reds, flat armour yellows and magic resist per lv glyphs are the best choice and they allow you to trade better due to sustain and decent damage output however, due to hecarims passive i would suggest testing out the use of movement speed quints to test the damage output difference between ad and MS use whichever you feel works better for you.

For this guide i will be talking about top lane play style for hecarim. as hecarim can easily be bullied by most champs its always best to play safe and only go for farm although theres no harm in getting a few q's of to lower the opponent if in range while farming. Champions that can easily bully hecarim are for example teemo, irelia and mordekaiser due to their greater sustain early game which ussually irelia would not be a problem for most champs early i reccomend not trying to beat her as fast as possible
