well, first of all, there is almost never a reason to build AD Nasus. Secondly, bloodrazor is a pretty bad item in general, so that's another no. Nasus also doesn't need the stats that bloodrazor or its components build out of, and it would be difficult to incorporate such an expensive item into your build.

Is building bloodrazor viable on an AD nasus???

Love your guide. I too have never been that much of a fan for shurelya's. And contrary to popular belief, I enjoyed reading your wall of texts. So... yeah!

hello I would first like to say that this is the most in depth description i have ever seem in my life. I like how you discuss certain situations (even on rare occasional ones), i like the item builds, and i just LOVE your description of the notable match ups and give a vote up for that. I am kind of confused about freezing the lane for early game. May i suggest putting a video explaining in case some people have hard time learning how to do that. other than that, I like the description and would be sad if this would get shut down. VOTE UP AN KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

"i am checking them bushes and warded them twice.

deluth, thank you for informing us that you will take it down, I dont think this will change your mind, but id rather you didnt take it down because i use this to see what i have to build to survive in lane against champs i havent played before and how hard the matchup is so it will be harder for me to get more experience as nasus if you take the build down but it is your choice so i will keep creative authority with you

Hi all,
I have decided to archive this guide (which I will do shortly) because of the following:

-Credibility: This is the main issue here. Honestly, in the end no one will take advice from an unranked player. So I will probably keep this guide down until I hit at least gold, so I can prove that I actually know how to play Nasus.

-Maintenance: There are a lot of things I need to update now, but i don't really have time to rewrite anything currently.

-Success: Well, this guide is still the third Nasus Guide and pretty much fallen out of recognition, and most people are still skeptical about vamp scepters. Eventually people will realize that is the way to play Nasus in the current top lane. Already the signs are beginning to show, such as MakNooN skipping shurelya's completely for FH in the Riot vs. World Invitationals, which was the last time Nasus was played competitively in recent memory.

Anyways, I will take this guide down in the next couple of days, and it will remain down until I can fix everything and reach at least gold elo. Thank you for spending your time reading and perhaps commenting/voting on this guide.

One last question answer (@BadManner)- Akali's early game damage usually isn't the issue anyway, so MR runes aren't going to change that much. I'm seeing the MR runes comments often though, so I am planning on testing that out soon, I highly doubt it will be that effective though. As for the null magic mantle start, I find it very suboptimal because you start laning with only 2 potions, which is hardly enough to sustain though enough harass to get your first defensive item, let alone boots, wards, scepters, philo, or whatever else you want to buy.

First of all, I want to say this is one of the best and most informative guides I've ever read, and I have read every word of it, including all of the champion match-ups.
I agree with your build completely in most sections, but i want to point out that some of your champion matchups are posted as harder than ive had experience with.
Most of all, akali, though she is not played often, is very easy to face with a full magic resist rune-page, which i happen to be the proud owner of one. I dont know if you have a full magic resist runepage, but it is worth saving up for because it makes every ability power chamion on the list do next to no damage to you early, and if i am up against the harder AP's, such as akali, I will also take a null-magic mantle so i come into lane with 99 MR which makes the lane an insta-free-farm for you. I think my build options are valid but if you disagree please notify me.

Ok, I'll try to attempt to address a few short questions now since I have a bit of time, I'll try to address the early-mid game question soon™.

@varkin- Thanks for your input, I haven't faced enough Darius since I got LoL back to determine for sure, but so far I'd put him around medium-hard due to strong, mixed damage, but I'm not sure about that yet. Darius is very gankable, so even a Nasus should be able to convert a gank to a kill, and with a kill....most lanes become very easy for Nasus.

@nijikawa- Hmm I saw Zeke's Herald on a new solomid Nasus guide recently actually....personally I wouldn't buy it since Lifesteal is useless to you past laning, and AS is just plain useless all game. The health amount is even more of a joke than Shurelya's.

I've been theorycrafting lately, and if I had to consider Another CDR item to buy, I think I would actually take Soul Shroud since it gives mp5, cdr, and enough health to reach resistances:health equilibrium. However, Soul Shroud is an aura which makes it pretty cost inefficient for Nasus, so I'm not sure about that yet, I will have to test it.

As for mid game, I will put this off for now. I will get to it though.

@The big guy- I was actually thiniking about the mp5 runes lately even though I didn't read your post O.o. I guess great minds think alike. I actually think that the extra mp5 would be excellent, and I will probably change the guide shortly. As for Eleisa's Miracle....you're dumping even more than me into transition items. I'm not sure I agree with that, especially since your transition item addresses mana, and doesn't help your health sustain much. Also, with your build you have absolutely 0 MR, so if you are ganked by an AP or you have to transition to fighting an AP for whatever reason, consider yourself dead. That's an interesting idea that I haven't seen before though.

@TheAnnoyingHans- Pretty sure I've said this a lot, so I'll just restate this briefly. Most top laners have a speed boost or dash that lets them damage Nasus, boots or not. Often this makes having boots irrelevant. Wards protect you from Jungle ganks. Also, even though boots look pretty far down on the item build list, It's still in the first 2.5k gold or so. You should be able to get that pretty early with enough farm.

@ThaKinetic- Sorry you dislike the banners, what do you suggest in place of them?

@Hikari- Kayle's only AD damage comes from autoattacks, both her Q and E splash are magic. In general, autoattacks are pretty weak early on, and you want to itemize for MR to limit most of the damage. On second back, when Kayle builds up a respectable base AD, that is when you get armor.
