LoL Summoner Spell: Flash

Introduction

Gangplank is a very potent champion, especially in late game. His critical strikes are one of the deadliest, and is a very good carry. However, many Gangplank players are building him the wrong way, and I want to fix that. This is MY BUILD that I use every time with Gangplank.

NOTE: THIS BUILD ALSO INCLUDES TACTICS, SO PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING!

Runes

I'll be honest, I'm not a great believer when it comes to runes, and I don't really use them. If you insist, I suggest you'll mostly take Damage, Critical strike, Armor Pen and a bit of Health runes, for more damage output, more damage efficiency and a bit more durability. Note that even without runes you will still have 100% crit chance, so it won't really matter.

Masteries

You of course should take the standard 21 points in offense, getting improved Exhaust and such. You should also take 3 points in perseverence (Utility) for more Health and Mana regen. And finally, more armor and magic resistance in defense, since you won't buy any.

Summoner Spells

I take Exhaust for the obvious reason to pin down my enemies so that I would crit them to death, and escape when a crazy Warwick follows me. I also take flash, to avoid certain death situations, or to ensure my Q (Parrley) will land safely. I also see many GP players taking Cleanse and Ghost. IT IS NOT REQUIRED! Your E is increasing you movement speed and you W is used as a "Cleanse!".

Items

Buying Avarice Blade at the start is very recommended, and also the option of stacking it 5 times. But remember to buy a lot of Lifesteal when you are nearing the end of the build, since it would compensate for your low HP. Also, don't forget to buy Infinity Edge, since your crit damage is based on your basic damage. (NO, buying only Phantom Dancers will NOT increase your crit damage!)

Tactics

Now with your awesome build all should be fine, right? Apparently not. Your enemies will realize your potency VERY quickly, so safety precautions must be taken. For instance, when you see a Team fight starting, be sure NOT to be ahead of every one, "leading the charge", but rather waiting aside for all of your enemies to activate their skills. If you will go ahead first, you will die first, and will gain nothing.

AGAIN: DO NOT GO FIRST TO THE TEAM FIGHT! WAIT SOME TIME AND THEN JUMP IN WHEN THEY WASTED ALL OF THEIR SKILLS TO CRIT THEM TO DEATH!

Targeting

Gangplank's potency is mostly realized against low HP champions. However, your fire most be focused at the strongest champs.( If they happen to be low HP also, the better.) It would be best if you can even get them from behind, off guard, focusing at the battle ahead, that way you ensure maximum damage dealt and minimum taken.

W Skill(Remove Scurvy): USE IT!

A lot of Gangplank players always do it wrong with the W skill. It's not only a healing source, but it's a CLEANSE. Really, it's a very good way to get out of trouble. For instance: Veigar catches you with his Stun and is about to unleash his crazy damage. In the last second, you press W and cleanse the hell outta' there. It's hard to remember, but once you mastered it, you almost guarantee your survival in team fights and 1v1 combat.

Link: Tryndamere

The reason Tryndamere is linked to Gangplank is obvious: They both crit like hell. I actually tried this build against Tryndamere, and it worked fine. There could be better builds than mine, but I think this can be also used for other Critical Strike builds. So keep that in mind, though I do not guarantee your success when using this build with other champs.

Summary

I see a lot of builds where they actually take a picture of their scores and put it on this page to show their success. Honestly, I cannot really guarantee you will win every match with this build, but a large number of them. Since GP is a bit relying on his team mates to start fights and pin enemies down while you cut them to pieces. So I don't know if those pictures are real proof or PS made, but I can guarantee that if you can hold on to late game, your success is almost sealed.
