Intro

Hello everyone,

here I present you THE Mordekaiser build. I am playing Morde excatly this way. THere are always two points you have to think about.

AD or AP enemies?

I present you the IMO most effective build for both possibilities. I hope you enjoy it.

Please do not downvote the build before you have tested it during some matches. Please note that this build is recommended to experienced players as you will not gain that much survavability during the early game as you get it from other builds I have seen here.

Morde is an Tanky / AP Champion. These two build exactly give you everything you need to be succesful in that. This should not be seen as a guide. I will keep it short as it is dedicated to experienced players.

Thanks for readinf and happy fragging!

Masteries

The Masteries for both builds are the same. I alwasys go 9/0/21 with Mordekaiser. Why? Well, Mordekaiser is dealing damage (AP) with his abilities. He should never be played as AD... worst thing you can do. The 21 Points in Utility gives us everything we need for an AP moster. CDR, HP reg (Mana reg is not neededd for Morde, but you will get some from Perseverence)...

The 9 points into Offense tree is needed for the 15% MP. Should be standard.

Runes

Same as for the masteries both builds are using the same runes.

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: MP is standard if you want to do any damage as AP champion. Also it helps to load up your shield. (More AP dmg = more shield)

Greater Seal of Regeneration: As Morde is using HP for his abilities, HP reg. is really really important and useful. These Seals are essential in the early game. You can stay in lane woth them until you can afford the first few items. (will explain it later)

Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power: As we go for Rabadon's Deathcap these Glyphs scale pretty good with the 30% AP bonus. So these Glyphs will push or MID-LATE game.

### BUILD 1: Against AP teams ###

Here we start with Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion. This is often used for Morde. But then we will not go for Sorcerer's Shoes. We will first only buy Boots and then Blasting Wand. This will boost our damage and shield loading extremely. You will get a lot of kills in the early game with that AP boost. As Morde it is absolutely awesome. From this moment you will start harassing and also ganking (in 3vs3 matches at least).

As we are facing an AP team we will need Force of Nature. As normally also some AD champions are in their team, Randuin's Omen will be helpful here. It additionaly adds a CC which Morde has not much of, except Rylai's Crystal Scepter. To even get more MP and some additional MR we take Abyssal Mask and our build is finished.

In Summary --> Get the early AP boost to be able to gank and harass. You will get many kills early game this way. it just takes some time to train it :)
As this is against heavy AP teams, you have ebough resistance and still will deal great damage to your enemies.

### BUILD 2: Against AD teams ###

First buy Doran's Shield. As you are playing against AD team, this item is the best for early game. It gives HP, Armor and also the HP reg which is needed. Great item if you are facing AD teams. The rest is the same procedure as for Build 1, except you will buy Thornmail before Force of Nature. FoN ist needed for the same reason as Randuin's Omen from Build 1. Normally you get AP enemies. So you will 1. cover them with FoN, 2. you get MS which is always nice to have AND 3. you get the additional Hp reg. So FoN is always a great item for Morde. In this build, I take Guardian Angel as last item. Let me explain why:

With Thornmail we get an item which passivly deals a good amount of damage to all AD champions which try to attack you. Plus your great damage through the abilities you use, this hits hard. Now after you died, often the enemies are almost dead (at leat they should be, as you should be quite tanky and live long in team fights). You will respawn directly where you died with 700 HP and can directly load up you shield. So means you can fight again a long time. Often this time is enough to score an ace in teamfights.

In Summary --> Get Thornmail + Guardian Angel against heavy AD teams. Your team and you will profit a lot of it.

Summary

As explained it should be quite short. I hope you enyo the alternative Morde gameplay and leave me a vote + comment.
