Ignite : add very nice damage to mordekaiser 's death combo : E+ignite+ult moreover, it's veryuseful against then enemies healing.
Flash: Morde have no escape at all , so it's a bit mandatory ;)
teleport: it could be useful when you're solo top and it's allows VERY nice ganks for all a game
ghost:Chase your enemies with Howling metal and stuff their *** with mace of spades(One of the bad side of morde it's his MS)

Pros:
- Mace of spades wich deals some 1400 damage late game on one target
-good CDR (25,5%) witch is nice to sustain the shield up




Cons:
Not very effective against heavy resists team

you starts with boots +3 pots : it permlts a good sustain with the mobility needed for harass and escape and the heal pots to fill n the health cost of those spells .
Then you need to back at 1200 gold to purchase hextech pistol :this wonderful item on morde up your sustainability a lot for a cheap cost
at this point you ave to choose between: - up your hextech in a WotA (more power, more sustain , and buff for the team)
- pick off a giant belt (wich is , most of the time the better choice, a lot more safer than the other)
Now build up Rylai scepter , another perfect item for morde , as he allows him to chase a bit more efficiently and also add life/ap that he needs
Now you need to anylisis the game and ask you: 1 - what ennemy are dangerous ? (feeded ,counter to morde ..)
2 - are you in a good situation ? with positive score ?
3 - have you enough power ?
in the first case , if you die too much , go for guardian angel . If you just want to take less damage : - if it's ap enemies who annoys you , then take twin 2 nid-magic mantle why ? : because both of them enters in the itemization later , for guardian angel and for lichbane.
- In the case of it's an ad oriented team , or if there is a feeded AD carry then buy a chain vest
2 :If you feel great, with not a lot of matters, you can buy the wonderful deathcap , and up your ap significantly ( more shield, more damage , more health return by spellvamp = more sustain )
