Introduction

Hi! This guide is mainly for my friends, but please try it out if you like it. It has worked well for me in the 1200-1300s when we play ranked 5v5 teams, and I wanted to put it on paper.

Items

After boots try to analyze if you need life steal and damage from a Doran's Blade or if you'd rather have the gold/10 sec and HP from a Heart of Gold. I usually go with 1 or 2 Doran's Blade before a Phage. If i get an early kill I take 2 Doran's Blade and try to trade as much as possible when i have all skills up as I will win the trades.

After Phage sometimes if I'm not afraid of the jungler or their combined damage output, I finish Trinity Force before finishing Mercury's Threads.

After Guardian Angel the rest is situational:
- You are fed/don't really need defense: build Hextech Gunblade
- You are fed and they build a lot of armor fairly early: build Last Whisper
- Enemy AP Carry is fed or they have alot of magic damage: build Banshee's Veil
- Enemy AD Carry is fed or they have a lot of physical damage: build Frozen Heart or Randuin's Omen

Early Game

Take Counter Strike at lvl 1, only use if they get lvl 2 first and jump you for protection. If you get lvl 2 before their top, take Leap Strike and jump with Counter Strike on to burst them a bit. Play fairly passively till lvl 6 where you get a large increase of power with Master-At-Arms passive. Again if you get lvl 6 before the opponent, try to engage.

Overall play passive and focus on farming and trading only when you think it's favourable for you. A good aim that is achieveable even for lower elo players (like me) is to have 80 creep score by 10 minutes, and 160 by 20 minutes.

Mid Game

Try to roam mid at least once to help your team, or help steal blue (with jungler and mid) if enemy jungler is ganking bot.

Once laning is over in other lanes try to push your tower hard, generally you can get a turret from two waves of creeps if you have stayed on track with farming and got decent items. Try to maximize your team precense because with a Leap Strike + Counter Strike and Empower on cooldown you can take down the enemy AD carry pretty much without help.

In team fights your focus should be to go hard on the AD carry once the engage happens.

If their jungler or top is fed, play more passively and try to just defend your AD carry with Counter Strike.

Late Game

Now it is time for you to STOMP! This is the power hour for every Jax who has done decently well, and even if being a bit behind, a Jax with [Trinity Force] + [Guardian Angel] can usually stomp an AD carry.

Now you can engage team fights by catching people off guard and out of position, just make sure your team is on the same chapter and goes in with you.

If the AP carry is doing well this is usually the largest threat to you unless you get so magic resist, so be carefull around them and don't get poked much before engaging.
