Hello everyone! I am DataMemoryStick and this is my first guide ever about League of Legends.
I just wanted to share any build ideas about Darius. I am not here to copy anyone i am just sharing my ideas. If anyone is offended by anything in this build just tell me and i will fix it , or explain the facts. ( And of course correct me in anything i did wrong )

CAUTION:

This guide is not for new players with Darius! It is required to know the basics of the player and already have some experience of your own!

There is no greater symbol of Noxian might than Darius, the nation's most feared and battle-hardened warrior. Orphaned at a young age, Darius had to fight to keep himself and his younger brother alive. By the time he joined the military, he had already developed the strength and discipline of a veteran soldier. The first true test of Darius's resolve occurred in a crucial battle against Demacia, where the Noxian forces were exhausted and outnumbered. Darius's captain called for his troops to retreat, but Darius refused to accept such an act of cowardice. Breaking formation, Darius strode towards the captain and decapitated him with one sweep of his gigantic axe. Both terrified and inspired, the soldiers followed Darius into battle and fought with incredible strength and fervor. After a long and grueling battle, they ultimately emerged victorious.

Seizing momentum from this victory, Darius led his now fiercely loyal troops in a devastating campaign against Demacia. After proving his power on the battlefield, Darius turned his gaze homeward. He saw a Noxus riddled with weakness, where greedy, complacent nobles drained the nation's strength. Seeking to restore his country to greatness, Darius took it upon himself to reshape the Noxian leadership. He identified weak figureheads and violently removed them from their positions of power. Many in Noxus saw Darius's cull as an attempt to seize power, but he had a different plan for the throne. He had been watching the rise of Jericho Swain with keen interest. In Swain, Darius saw a leader with the mind and determination to bring Noxus to glory. Now allied with the Master Tactician, Darius works to unite the nation behind his vision of true Noxian strength.

I will post all the changes i make here so you people can see them.

• Update:26/11/12 Added a new Build about Darius (Smashing)!! Corrected a few things , and i added some tips in the jungle.(Also Added a new item in Stronk build)
  
• Update:3/12/12 Added Videos,Pros/Cons,Abilities+Skill Sequence,Lore Sections on my guide, plus i changed dramatically the appearance of some Sections.
  
• Update:22/12/12 Edited Stronk build and completely changed it on another build called Tanky. Fixed Masteries and items for S3.
  

Pros: + Easy to farm. + Heavy Damage even if played Tanky. + Aoe pull. + Strong 1v1 with most champions. + Great harrash with Decimate early game. + A like a baus Ultimate Noxian Guillotine. + Fun to play with.

Cons: - No escapes. - Bad survivability. - He cant Tank good. - Really weak against Ranged early game. - Can be countered easily. - Squishy. - Focused easily.

Passive-Hemorrhage: Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed for 12 / 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 / 30 / 33 / 36 (+0.3 per bonus attack damage) magic damage over 5 seconds. This effect stacks up to five times.
Darius gains 5% movement speed for each bleeding enemy champion.

A very strong Passive.



Decimate: Darius swings his axe in a wide circle. Enemies struck by the shaft take 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+0.7 per bonus attack damage) physical damage. Champions struck by the blade take 105 / 157.5 / 210 / 262.5 / 315 (+1.05 per bonus attack damage) physical damage.

Keep Harrasing with Decimate to frustrate your enemy's gameplay and stacking your passive, so you got advantage if a fight starts.


Crippling Strike: Darius's next attack severs a crucial artery, dealing 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 % additional physical damage. As the target bleeds out, their movement and attack speeds are slowed by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 % for 2 seconds. Crippling Strike's cooldown is reduced by 1 second for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target.

Chase down your enemies with Crippling Strike or you can always do it to the enemy that is chasing you so you can slow him a bit.




Apprehend: Darius hones his axe, granting him 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 % passive armor penetration. When activated, Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe's hook and pulls them to him.

A grab that you can do many amazing stuff. Helps you engage easily or even change the result of a teamfight. You can also camp tower and grab your aggresive enemies if any exist.


Noxian Guillotine: Darius leaps to an enemy Champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing 160 / 250 / 340 (+0.75 per bonus attack damage) true damage. This damage increases by 20% for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target up to a maximum of 320 / 500 / 680 (+1.5 per bonus attack damage) true damage. If Noxian Guillotine deals a killing blow, its cooldown is refreshed.

Amazing ulti that can easily smash down your enemies. Always use it when the enemy is ~30%/20% prefer, so you dont lose the cooldown refresh and to make sure he gets the full damage of it by stacking your passive Hemorrhage.



Skill Sequence:

First harrash with Decimate to low down your enemy.Second enable your W -> Crippling Strike ,then use E -> Apprehend so you can cast your Q Decimate safely ,and continue with Noxian Guillotine.

So: Q > W > E > Q > R

This is the default runepage i use with Darius . I think its the best in any way , cause it has everything a Darius needs.

Though you could use x3 , to chase your victims easier ! And the lack of the +10 Armor Penetration from Greater Quintessence of Desolation wont be much of a problem cause you got the passive from E . Its what you prefer actually , i prefer the more Armor Penetration!

Tanky Build:

• I start with Boots + Health Potion Health Potion Health Potion. And i harrash Ninja Tabi. (Ofc it depends on the enemies you face, you might require Mercury's Treads)
  
• After i get Doran's Blade Doran's Blade for the ealry damage boost and sustain.
  
• Then i get a Phage for the Damage+Health boost and epecially for the Slow Effect.
  
• Later on i complete the Phage to a Frozen Mallet.
  
• Next is Maw of Malmortius to get the Magic Resist bonus and the lovely unique passive he gots to counter the enemies with strong magic damage and be more tanky.
  
• Then i pick Warmog's Armor for the HP buff.
  
• Next i pick Bloodthirster for the huge damage boost and the life steal.
  
• Lastly i pick Frozen Heart. A great item for Darius cause it benefits from everything this item gives. Especially the Passive which lowers the attack speed of the enemies.

Smashing Build:

• So, I start with Boots + Health Potion Health Potion Health Potion and i harrash Mercury's Treads.(Ofc it depends on the enemies you face, you might require Ninja Tabi)
  
• Then i get Doran's Blade Doran's Blade to get the 6% Life Steal ,160 Health and 20 Attack Damage which is a good buff at early game.
  
• Later on i make a Phage , especially to chase the enemies with the Slow . I continue and complete Trinity Force from Phage.
  Trinity Force is another great item for Darius , cause he needs the extra Attack Speed to stack his passive -> Hemorrhage<- faster , the HP+Mana+Crit is always welcome ,plus the Movement Speed buff and the Proc from Sheen is fine.
  
• Next i pick Bloodthirster for the huge damage boost and the life steal. Now it depends, if my progress is great and got tons of gold i pick a B. F. Sword and then complete Bloodthirster , Otherwise Vampiric Scepter --> Bloodthirster.
  
• Later on i get a Black Cleaver mainly for the Passive so even if they stack armor , wont make a big difference!
  
• I continue with Blade of the Ruined King for all the great buffs it gives for Darius and especially for the Unique passive it has. Its great for enemies that stack HP , and with Black Cleaver its a great combo Vs Tanky dudes.
  
• At last i get a Guardian Angel. Why this item? Well you are too squishy with this build and you should definately get this item for survivability. If they focus you hard Guardian Angel will give you a second chance in the teamfight to doom any left enemies.
  

  Note:

  This build deals Tons Of Damage!
  

Now about the Summoner Spells.

- I pick Exhaust + Flash when i go bottom lane to secure that the enemies wont escape and let the ADC get the kills.

- About solo top i always go Ignite + Flash to make sure i get the kills with the combo of Ignite + Hemorrhage.

- Teleport Its great too for solo top and you can always fly to other lanes via sight ward to execute the enemies with the Noxian Guillotine if they low on health.

- Revive Trololo with Teleport for another chance to doom your enemies if they focused you so hard in a teamfight.

- Cleanse A very nice spell for Darius till he got no escape roots , pick it if you really know how to use it in the right time.

- Ghost Use it instead of Flash if you desire. Its clearly your decision and your playstyle in the game.

- Clairvoyance No point.

- Heal Not bad at Darius but i clearly dont prefer it.

- Clarity Nahh..

- Smite Definately if jungling but thats not this guide for.

- Surge Nope.

Tanky Build:

Your build is for Solo Top. Follow this build if your team overall is squishy(otherwise just follow my instructions for Smashing build. You are the Offtank and maybe the Main Initiator of the team if there is no other. You can start a teamfight with .

Smashing Build:

This build is for Solo Top. You are too squishy , dont go first at late game cause you will go down pretty fast if they focus you.

Tips in the Jungle:

You can always counter the enemy jungle easily with .
