Hello and welcome to my build for Darius, the Hand of Noxus! Darius is a physical fighting champion that excels when built with health (Bruiser). Taking the time to learn his abilities can easily help you turn any team fight into a puppet show of your control. Having excellent burst damage, consistent slows, a mediocre pull, and decent bleed damage this champion is and should be feared.



This guild will be updated with details and more in depth view of his skills, play styles and item builds.

-~^ Runes ^~-

Darius is a (AD) champion meaning he will build strictly attack damage items, get attack damage masteries and runes.

--Bruiser Build--
I choose: Greater Mark of Attack Damage x9
Greater Seal of Armor x9
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x9
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage x3
**This will maximize your damage early game and give you amazing defense early/late game.**

--Off-Tank Build--
I Choose: Greater Mark of Attack Damage x9
Greater Seal of Armor x9
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x9
Great Quintessence of Fortitude x3
**This will give you early game boost in damage, high defense early/late game and boost health.**

--Jungle Build--
I choose: Greater Mark of Attack Damage x9
Greater Seal of Attack Speed x9
Greater Glyph of Health x9
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed x3
**This will help you with early game damage, excelling in HP, and help you clear jungle as fast as possible.**

Other viable runes are:
Greater Mark of Desolation (but with your Apprehend it isn't necessary)
Greater Quintessence of Desolation ^^Same as above^^

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist Grab this if you want more early game Magic Resist instead of late game.



You can use any the runes for jungling, but ones selected got me fastest clearing times with most Health left afterward.

-~^ Masteries ^~-

I build Darius with a full offensive tree with enough points in the defensive tree to grab the bonus health early game. You do not have to build him Offensive (21/9/0)! You can build him defensively (9/21/0) for more sustain, but less damage output. When putting talents into the defensive mastery tree be sure to grab health all armor, magic resist, health, health regeneration and damage reduction.

-~^ Skill Sequence ^~-

I begin by purchasing Decimate. It is your main damage attack ability therefore we will be maxing this first. At level 2 Crippling Strike this will be the next thing to level after Apprehend is at rank 2. I grab Apprehend at levels 4 and 7, it will have a shorter cooldown and grants you 10% armorpen for mid game (making a big difference)! And of course

GRAB ULTIMATE AT 6, 11, 16!!!!

-~^ Skills Explanation ^~-

Darius's Skills:



Hemorrhage(passive) - This is a bleeding effect that is applied to his target on each auto-attack or skill use. This ability stacks up to 5 times on each target and grants bonus movement speed each stack.
Hint: Try applying to multiple targets to get the maximum movement speed boost you can to stay on your targets!

Decimate - This is Darius's MAIN ATTACK DAMAGE. When you use this skill Darius performs one 360 spin dealing damage to all targets with it. The closer to Darius the enemies are the less damage they take. If struck with the axe blade, they take 50% more damage.
(practice nailing targets at maximum range to reduce the chances of you getting hit also.)

Crippling Strike - This is Darius's slow/CC. When activated, Darius's next attack does a bonus (20/40/60/80/100%) additional damage and are slowed by (20/25/30/35/40%) for 2 seconds. For each stack of Hemorrhage the cooldown of Crippling Strike is reduced by 1 second. So if you have 5 stacks of Hemorrhage then the cooldown of your Crippling Strike will be reduced to 2 seconds instead of 7! CONSTANT SLOW!!!

Apprehend - This ability is all around good for a bruiser/tank/jungler/ad carry! These ability allows you to pull multiple targets back to you and grants you passive armor penetration(5/10/15/20/25%) You can use this ability over walls to separate enemies from their teamates! Practice the distance of this ability and walls that allow you to pull targets over. (walls you cannot do this over appear red when you go to use this ability.)

Noxus Guillotine(ULTIMATE) - This ability is so outrageous it causes Katarina to QQ. This ability causes Darius to leap to his target dealing (160/250/340 + 75% of your bonus attack power) as true damage! The damage is increased by 20% of each stack of hemorrhage! 100% BONUS DAMAGE!. This ability caps at (320/500/680 + 150% of your bonus attack damage).
**If your Ultimate is a killing blow or the target dies in less than a second of its use then the cooldown of this ability is refreshed completely**

Hint: Try to timing this ability when several targets get around 15%-30% Health so you can get multiple kills within seconds!!!
