Hey so this is my first guide i hope you will vote it up. If you for some reason vote it down plz leave a comment why. So Darius was released only few days ago but i still write a guide about him, why? Cause i noticed he is VERY VERY OP champion. and i have played about 10-15games with him since he was released
In this guide i will tell you about Darius
Which i think is the most op champion in the game at this moment
SORRY I DONT KNOW WHY MASTERYS ARE BUGGED IN MASTERY TREE. FOR ATLEAST ME
I choose 21/6 masteries because few things..
Summoner's Wrath is nice. if u use exhaust it will also reduce armor and m-resist
Brute Force Well just simply rise your AD
Alacrity Gives you some extra attack speed]]
Weapon Expertise Armor penetration is ALLWAYS good
Havoc Extra dmg is good too
Deadliness Attack damage per level is helpful it may seem useless since only 0.5per lvl but its still 9 extra at level 18
Lethality Wuhuu 10% crit dmg VERY good
Vampirism Extra lifesteal good
Hardiness nice amount of armor
Sunder Extra armor penetration for darius is very good
Executioner Extra dmg to low hp champions... helps lots on your ulti
Reason for these runes i choose are simply..
Greater Mark of Attack Damage This rune gives u 0.95+ AD
Greater Seal of Resilience Armor u need on lane WITH almost every champion 1.41+ armor per rune
Greater Glyph of Attack Damage This rune gives u 0.28+ AD
Greater Quintessence of Desolation This rune gives u 3.33% arp per rune 10% is very usefull mixed with armor penetration from Apprehend
Together these runes give you
1. 10% Armor penetration
2. 11 Attack damage
3. 13 armor
There are some alternative runes for Quintessence
Greater Quintessence of Desolation Replace with Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed that gives u 1.5% movement speed per rune
or Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage Which just simply gives you AD
Why this skill order?
Hemorrhage (Passive): Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed. This effect stacks up to five times.
Decimate: Darius swings his axe in a lethal circle. Enemies struck by its blade take more damage than those struck by its shaft.
Crippling Strike: Darius's next attack severs a crucial artery. As the target bleeds out, their movement and attack speeds are slowed. Crippling Strike's cooldown is lower the more bloodied its target. If you want also high source of dmg you could max this first instead of Decimate
Apprehend: Darius hones his axe, granting him passive armor penetration. When activated, Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe's hook and pulls them to him.
Noxian Guillotine (Ultimate): Darius leaps to an enemy champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing true damage. This damage is increased for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target. If Noxian Guillotine is a killing blow, its cooldown is refreshed.
Extremely powerful farming skill. It is pretty overpowered skill since it does not have reduced damage to minions and it have high base damage.Also very nice harrasing skill. For this reason i think this should be maxed dmg
Well this skill does also high damage 120-200% of your ad. Its cd will go very low if u have 5 stacks of hemmorhage. This should be maxed second for these reasons.
This skill is very good if you are chasing. I think this should be maxed last since it dosent deal damage. But it gives armor penetration 5-25% but still.. it dosent help much as others
I think the most overpowered skill in this game
deals 340 (+0.75 bonus AD) true damage with 0 passive stacks and 680 (+1.5 bonus AD) true damage with 5 passive stacks at 475 range with a cooldown of 80 seconds @ lvl 3 Noxian Guillotine, refreshing if the target dies within 0.5 seconds.
THIS is very high true damage..
In this section i am gonna tell you about items and alternative build
Mercury's Treads vs Ninja Tabi In this case selecting between these two boots really depends on enemy team. Darius is very vulnurable to cc's and die usually if he get stunned. So if enemy have lots of cc's choose Mercury's Treads
Maw of Malmortius Very usefull item to counter ap carrys. It also gives you 55+ ad and +36 m-resist. Then lets talk about UNIQUE passive. +1ad for every 2.5% health missing. If you are on low hp this will allways give you enough ad. Magic shield that absord 400m-damage if you take m-damage that reduces ur health to under 30% of maxium health. This is usefull to counter atleast half of the damage to next ap carrys skill.
Frozen Mallet Very usefull item. Gives you slow for every basic attack and +700hp, and +20 ad. Almost impossible to escape if you have this item.
Youmuu's Ghostblade Very Very great item one of my favorites in the game. Have real nice UNIQUE passive 15% Cooldown Reduction and +20 Armor Penetration. UNIQUE Active: Gives 20% movement speed and +50% attack speed for 4 seconds. Attacking enemies with melee attacks increases the duration by 2 seconds to a maximum of 8 seconds. Its very easy to catch up enemy
and other stats 30 Attack Damage, 15 Critical Strike Chance.
The Bloodthirster Very Very important item for almost every ad melee champion. You will be very squishy if u dont have this in late game. It also gives nice amount of ad max. 100 if maxed full and max. 20% lifesteal.
Last Whisper This item is very useful for darius. It gives you 40+ AD and 40% armor penetration, mixed with "e" skill , masteries , runes gives you really high arp and tanks will have no chance against you.
Some alternative item
Last Whisper can be replaced with The Black Cleaver which is also very good item. Decrease enemy armor by 45. But my opinion is that Last Whisper is better.
Heres one alternative build Berserker's Greaves The Black Cleaver The Bloodthirster Frozen Mallet Trinity Force Youmuu's Ghostblade
This build is much more vulnureable and more for normal or fun games
Recommended summoner spells !!!
Summoner spells that should be used
Very good versus every champion. it really helps you to take down feeded champions since it will reduce damage VERY much.
Well what can we tell about this? almost everyone uses this in LoL why? since its good. You can easily escape trough wall, or just simply catch someone, if you dont get enough close just use ur Apprehend
Very useful summoner spell also. Deals true damage over time (depending on lvl) + reduces healing by 50%. Good to use if someone escapes with low health.
This i think is also one of the most useful summoner spell in game. I know darius will get focused high and this is good. It removes every debuff and cc. Really useful
Uhh well this is good but i dont think you need it on darius since you will get movement speed from your passive.
Nothing to say....Very high cooldown and dont give anymore movement speed on respawn.. only low levels use this nowdays.
Good for ad carrys but i dont recommend it on ad melees.
Good but will only be usefull if full premade team
Rest of spells.. none of them are usefull
Pros / Cons
Very good champion on 1 vs 1
Deals very high damage at every second of game
Crippling Strike cooldown is very low if enemy is stacked with Hemorrhage
Noxian Guillotine Deals very HIGH true damage and cooldown refresh if you get killing blow with it
Vulnurable to cc's
Will usually get focused in team fights
If ultimate used too early and it goes on cd. Things will get bad in fight
