Introduction

Well hi there. This is my first guide period and i think this will be a pretty good build and if u stick around to read it you might see why.

Runes

The reason i pick flat attack damage marks is because beginning game you want to be able to pick up boots instead of a doran's blade. So the attack damage marks will make up for the loss of damage and the health masteries will make up for some of the loss in HP. Flat armor seals and flat magic resist glyphs will allow for beginning game durability while the armor penetration masteries and quintessences will help you break your enemy early.

Items

i like to start off with boots of speed and 3 health potions then move onto a hexdrinker and ninja tabi or mercury treads depending on your needs. After that i move right on to something with alot of kick, the black cleaver. The reason i pick the black cleaver is because every hit you reduce the targets armor by 15 for 5 seconds (stacks 3 times) thats them losing 45 armor. On top of them losing 45 armor from 3 hits u are also applying hemorrhage. So in my eyes, Darius relies alot on basic attacks. After the Black Cleaver i move onto the Maw of Malmortius. Next we build more magic resist with a force of nature for the movement speed to chase down your opponents and ofcourse the health regen and magic resist. Next is the Madred's Bloodrazor. This is just an awesome item with this build. Attack damage, armor, and attack speed along with bonus damage on hit. the attack speed with help you apply hemorrhage and the armor reduce from black cleaver EVEN FASTER while dealing more damage and giving some defense. Last, you can pick if you want a Warmog's armor OR a blood thirster.

Summoner Spells

Alot of people dont know what exhaust does. All they think it does is slow the target enemy champion. However, Exhaust also reduces the auto and basic attack of the enemy by 70% and ability and item damage by 35% in addition to the 40% slow. The slow is a good reason to have exhaust on darius so that you may catch up with your enemy and Apprehend your enemy however ghost is also great for this. So i would use exhaust if; 1) your ghost is on CD (for chasing enemies) or if you are fighting an enemy like tryndamere, jax, or master yi ( people who rely heavily on basic attacks).

Team Work

Dont forget, Apprehend can be used as a save for a teammate. You can pull enemies to you to allow your teammate a safe retreat if necessary.

Summary

All in all, this champion is extremely powerful if used properly, for the best use of your ult, get 5 stacks of hemorrhage and use your ult when the enemy has even 900 health left. It should finish them off (at level 3), also decimate stacks hemorrhage and is most powerful at the edge of the blade, so try to get your enemy to end up being hit by the blade instead of the shaft of the axe.
