Introduction-Build/Guide for level 1-30s
Hey everyone, lordderick here. This is my first Mobafire build, which is NOT a troll build or a spam build (I hate those)
This is my first ever build,and after getting fed so many times playing Ashe with a friend of mine, (HeTek) I think im entitled to make a guide. If you find mistakes, or errors, or better ways you think Ashe should be played, just comment in the comments section below the guide! Thanks and I hope this build works for you. Also, the build is quite in-depth and long. She is meant to be a carry in this build, and that means she is squishy. Enjoy!

Ashe-The frost Archer's history
With a global ultimate, and literally CC in every attack, she is a well known champion, and very famous, as she is one of the 40 champions that came when League of Legends was born. She releys on autoattacking quite a bit to do large damage, but in the end, if played correctly, she is one of the best champions out there. Shes a pretty easy champion to play, butSHE IS NOT A "RIGHT CLICK TO PLAY" CHAMPION. It takes time to learn how to use her ulti correctly and when to engage or not. So good luck on the Fields of Justice!
One of the perennial favorites of summoners in the League of Legends is the Freljordian beauty known as Ashe. She is a direct descendant of Avarosa - one of three legendary sisters who each claimed dominion over the scattered tribes dwelling in the icy tundra of northern Valoran. Ashe mirrors her ancestor's unparalleled mastery of the bow, earning her the title of ''The Frost Archer'' the way Avarosa did during her era. Ashe is a literal Princess amongst her people, though she prefers to be addressed by outsiders as her tribal title rather than any form of royal moniker. There are those in Freljord, however, that would prefer to address Ashe as the ''late'' Frost Archer; the other two tribes that are descendants from the Three Sisters are historically sworn enemies of Ashe and her people. Having survived more than one assassination attempt in her life, Ashe is always aware of her surroundings regardless of where she is.
Ashe originally came to the Institute of War in service of the League summoners, seeking enough influence and favor to finally bring peace to her realm - one that has endured civil strife since Avarosa and the Time of the Three Sisters. With countless victories under her belt, she has started to put the influence she has earned in the League to use. Rumors abound that Ashe has begun to associate herself with fellow champion Tryndamere outside of the Fields of Justice. While she denies such talk as frivolous, all eyes will remain on Ashe now that her success in the League may finally allow her to restore lasting peace to her people.

MIA=Missing in action
Oom=out of mana
Gank=To ambush a enemy champion
Red buff=the buff the Lizard Elder gives you
Blue buff=the buff the ancient golem gives you
Wraith=wraith camp, near mid lane
Baron=Baron Nashor,epic monster. the strongest enemy in the game.Located between top and mid lane. Grants 300 gold and 900 exp to all allied champions when killed.
Dragon=epic monster, grants 190 gold to all allied champions, and some exp for those near it when killed.
Inhib=inhibitor, when destroyed on your side causes that lane with no inhib to start spawning superminions, that do up to 350 damage and have over 2k hp. when all 3 inhibitors are up, your nexus is invulnerable.
Turrets=the things you want to destroy, grants 150 gold to all allied champions and 250 exp to all allied champions.
Ulti=Final skill, the R key, the ultimate.
CC=Crowd control. Snares, slows, stuns, taunts are CC. Almost all champions have this. Exceptions are Master Yi and Mordekaiser
MP5=Mana regen per 5 seconds
HP5=Health regen per 5 seconds
Unique passive=This passive only works once. buying the same item won't stack the passive.
Focus (Passive) While out of combat, Ashe's Critical Strike chance increases every 3 seconds for her next attack.
Frost Shot While active, each of Ashe's basic attacks slow her targets. This drains Mana with each attack.
Toggle: Ashe's basic attacks slow her targets by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds.
Costs 8 Mana per Attack
Volley Ashe fires 7 arrows in a cone for increased damage. Volley also applies Ashe's current level of Frost Shot.
Ashe fires 7 arrows in a cone, dealing 40/50/60/70/80 (+) physical damage. Volley also applies Frost Shot.
Costs 60 Mana
Hawkshot Each time Ashe kills a unit, she gains some extra gold. Ashe can activate to send her Hawk Spirit on a scouting mission.
Passive: Ashe gains 1/2/3/4/5 extra gold whenever she kills a unit.
Active: Ashe animates a hawk to scout for her, revealing terrain as it flies toward target location.
Cost: No Cost
Enchanted Crystal Arrow - Ashe fires a missile of ice in a straight line. If the arrow collides with an enemy Champion, it deals damage and stuns the Champion for up to 3.5 seconds, based on how far the arrow has traveled. In addition, surrounding enemy units take damage and are slowed.
Fires a large arrow in a straight line. If it hits an enemy champion, it will deal 250/425/600 (+1) magic damage and stun that champion for up to 3.5 seconds, based on the distance the arrow traveled. Additionally, surrounding units take half the damage and are slowed by 50% for 3 seconds.
Costs 150 Mana
Range: 25000 (Global)
I take greater mark of desolation and greater quintessence of desolation, because with 25 armor penetration, in early game, around level 1-6, you can farm real well, harass real well, and do true damage to some really squishy champs out there such as Twisted Fate.
I take 9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist so when you lane mid, bot, solo top, you can last a tiny bit longer against AP casters, they really make a difference if your against a Xerath, Lux, Veigar, Mordekaiser etc. I have been saved so many times by Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist, I lost count.
I take 9 greater seal of replenishment for the mana regen, so you can spam spells more. With a vampiric sceptar, you should be able to last for quite a while, while being able to use your Volley more frequently and your Frost Shot.
I take 21-0-9, instead of a 21-9-0 build, because having 6 more armor or magic resist is pretty useless, unless your a tank. If you get ganked by a Tryndamere, or a Udyr, you screwed. No chance, unless your a epic escape artist. Like Twitch or Evelynn
Maybe if you have Banshee's Veil, Cleanse, or Mercury treads you can escape...
21 points in offense for the extra damage, it scales really well late game when you have a bunch of items.
9 in Utility, so you can have alot more...um...utility. That means you can do stuff like recall faster, move faster, keep buffs longer, and so on.
Runes-For under level 30s
I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING RUNES BEFORE LEVEL 30! CAUSE YOU CAN ONLY SACRIFICE THEM IN THE RUNE COMBINER! ALSO DONT BUY RUNES UNTIL LEVEL 10+ OR THEY'RE NOT WORTH IT!
I take mark of desolation and quintessence of desolation, because with 20 armor penetration, in early game, around level 1-4, you can farm real well, harass real well, and do true damage to some really squishy champs out there such as Twisted Fate.

Masteries-For under level 30s
First, you should put all your points into utility before offensive, since you can buy offensive items in game. Instead of 3 points in Expanded Mind , put them into Good Hands . Continue with getting all the other points into utility in the normal format. When you hit level 10, Add any other points you get when you level up into offensive, in the regular format. By level 20, reset you masteries, and add all your points first into Utility IN THE REGULAR FORMAT, and add the remaining points into offense in the regular format. This is because when you first start playing, you will probably die ALOT!
Before the Flash nerf, and the addition of stuff like Promote and Surge, along with the removal of Fortify and Rally, Honestly, the best spells you can use now are Ghost and Exhaust.You can even use exhaust defensivly! Exhaust, then ghost and run towards your allies or a safe spot.
I know many people would still use Flash, but its range was nerfed also. now its harder to jump over a wall, and you cannot even jump some walls now. I think it should be used defensively nowadays, or dont take it.
If you dont want to use Ghost and Exhaust, some good spells are
Forced to recall? Is mid tower under attack?
Send in your ulti down mid, teleport to your tower, start attacking with Volley and Frost Shot "You have slain an enemy!" Very good. Substitute for Exhaust
For escape only. Use it to chase an enemy and i will punch you through the internet
Chasing and for running away. You can use it to move faster if you like, to clear out minion waves or get to your lane faster
An awesome spell, you can use this instead of exhaust, great to guarantee a kill on a champion with low hp. Also stops healers like soraka and taric.
Very nice, i used to take it, but its not as good as exhaust. The attack speed and AP are great for pushing and taking out a tower/inhib/champion, but its not really worth it, if you have a skill point in Offense, Summoners wrath. Exhaust buffed with summoners wrath is better i think.
Good if your support, bad if your not. you are a carry! dont use it.
(But if your a trolling derp you can max E and use cv on the map. Heh, heh. WUT FOG OF WAR?!

Hello? greater glyph of replenishment? No, unless you dont have them yet, this is PLAUSABLE, but not recommended.
No. just no. unless your a tank. which your NOT. but if your a newb, you could use it.
get rid of any cc on you? AWESOME for escaping a stun or snare! Could be used, but not me personally.
Anything thats not listed is something you should not use.
Boots for you
Johfo:So first off let's face it. Ashe isn't the best AD carry early-mid game. Most champions such as Graves, Vayne, Caitlyn are much stronger than her. that's why Mercury threads are bothering me. If you buy Mercs and a Zeal. that about 2400g. your opponent buys berserkes or boots. and a BF sword. they'll take so much more damage than you at that point!
You, sir, are correct. This chapter will help you find the best shoes for your situation.
These are best against a AP character with heavy CC, such as Morgana or Lux. But not really worth it, unless their team has 2 people with snares or stuns or AoE CC, like Vladimir or Veigar.
Good if your against another AD ranged, like Caitlyn or Graves. You need to attack faster than them early game, and farm more. You might also not get alot of farm since they are great harassers. So zerk's are nice, cheap boots, with a sweet passive.
Ashe is a insanely slow champion, with only 300 starting move speed. This makes me want to cry and scream. But with these boots, for 1000g, your move speed jumps from 300 to 430. Pretty good if the enemy team has alot of skillshotters, allowing you to dodge the skillshots faster, like Lux's bind or Nidalee's Javelin Toss.
Any other boots should not be used. Why? Because...
Ninja Tabi You shouldnt be getting autoattacked by enemies.
Boots of Mobility It's move speed drops from 5 to 2 after engaging in combat, making it useless for escaping, since it needs 5 seconds to return to 5 move speed after leaving combat and not taking any damage.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity CD is always nice, but you dont really need it on ashe...only for her Volley, which has 16 second cooldown at level 5, but drops 3-4 seconds every level up...so 4 seconds at level 5. Her Enchanted Crystal Arrow is 80 seconds at 3. Not needed
Get 2 Doran's Blade if your doing bad and getting harassed, 1 if your not. Doran's Blade is pretty epic. For 475 gold, you have lifesteal, more health, and more damage. It scales nicely from the beginning of the game into early late game.
Great of getting rid of Tryndamere Mocking Shout or Sion stupid Cryptic Gaze faster! And get it early, cause Ashe also has painfully slow move speed. Only problem is these boots cost 1200 gold, making them the most expensive.
It should save your life. ^_^
Vampiric Scepter for the lifesteal and sustain early to mid game. Also builds into The Bloodthirster
Get it as fast as you can, because when you get it early, your likely still farming alot and not going 1v1 out with another champ, since you lack a bit of damage. It will give you 100+ damage when fully farmed. thats pretty insane, since it gives the most damage in the whole game. (100)
Attack speed, Critical chance, move speed.
80+ damage? 250% crits? Add this with Phantom dancer and Bloodthirster and your destroying their squishies.
The Black Cleaver
Have an enemy carry or high priority target getting survivability items such as Frozen Heart, Guardian Angel, or Thornmail?
Getting The Black Cleaver will take out 45 of their armor in 3 shots, and with armor penetration runes and masteries, your almost negating that armor. This is better than Madred's Bloodrazor because Madred's does not work against a tanky carry as well, such as a Atmogs combo.
This is one of the best items in the game. it can block countless things, ranging from Garen Decisive Strike to Lux Finales Funkeln, and even Ashe own arrow ultimate, Enchanted Crystal Arrow. It stops a Sion or Tryndamere from murdering you, and gives you more HP/Mana and MR. Epic item. MUST GET!
Items-For under level 30s
Try to only buy 1 of these items. if you get, for example philosopher's stone, dont get another item from this list.
Some items, if you are new and without runes and masteries, and new to league of legends with sustainability/gold problems are:
Gives you 5 gold over 10 seconds, and some MP5 and HP5.
Effects +18 health regeneration
+8 mana regeneration
Unique passive: Gain +5 gold per 10 seconds.
For mana and health, better than philosopher's stone
+25 health regeneration
+20 mana regeneration
Heart of Gold
Not enough health? Need cash over time?
Unique passive: Gain +5 gold per 10 seconds.
Gives 12% crit strike chance and +5 gold every 10 seconds. Also builds into Youmuu's Ghostblade, a very nice item.
Unless your getting Youmuu's Ghostblade, in the end you should sell these things back for gold to buy other more advanced items.
Tanky enemy team? NOT TO WORRY!
The greater mark of desolation and greater quintessence of desolation should already help you take armor-stacking teams down, along with The Black Cleaver.
But if you see them as a major problem, get The Black Cleaver earlier, and replace Infinity Edge with Last Whisper for 40% more armor penetration.<---makes Garen cry.
Is there a Volibear, Garen, Vladimir, or Olaf with huge amounts of health?
This can help you shred them, taking out 4% of their max hp in every basic attack. Is very useful, but only on a enemy team with high hp. Also it does up to 120 damage on monsters instead of 4% of max hp.
Not enough gold? Can't afford Phantom Dancer?
Get Youmuu's. With +30 attack damage, 15% crit chance, and +20 armor penetration, and an active giving 50% more attack speed and 20% more move speed for 4 seconds, its a great item if your poor.
Is your team AD heavy?
Good if your team has a lot of AD players, both melee and ranged. If someone on your team has not gotten this, getting this for you and your team is a good idea. Its not really too great on Ashe though, ask another teammate to get this.
Ridiculous AP bursters? ( Annie, Lux, LeBlanc, Karthus)
Then get Hexdrinker. Giving you a 300 magic damage absorbing shield, it can save your life plenty of times. Very useful. Also gives you some MR and attack damage, for a cheap price.
AD heavy enemy team? Give them a taste of their own medicine by reflecting 30% damage from basic attacks at them.
Giving you a nice chunk of Armor and MR, you also get a second change, if you get killed by ignite after a turret dive, this will resurrect you with 750 health and low mana.
Does the entire enemy team have ignite? Are they CC heavy, like Veigar's Event Horizon? Well buy this, and every 90 seconds, you can free yourself of and CC effects and debuffs.
Locket of the Iron Solari Oh no! Ignite on you, and you have 10 hp! *Activate Iron Solari*
Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer is a well known combo, of course. Offering attack speed with critical strikes doing 250% damage is impressive, espically if you got The Bloodthirster's farm maxed out at +40 attack damage and 10% more lifesteal. But even with these 3 items, you don't always hit a critical strike. This is where Ashe's Focus passive works really well. Whenever you are roaming, or walking down a lane for a gank, or whatever, just not attacking, you gain a higher change to hit a critical strike on your next basic attack...every 3 seconds. If you get a Madred's Bloodrazor, your also taking out 4% of the enemy's total health. With the correct runes and masteries, you could be hitting a Master Yi for over 500 damage per shot! If you also get The Black Cleaver, and hit more than 3 times, thats almost true damage! Hitting a critical strike is one thing, hitting a critical strike over 500 is another, but hitting a critical strike and doing almost true damage? WIN.
You need to get your Volley maxed early game, cause at that time its likely that their carries, supports, tanks, etc dont have much armor...YET!<---this is why you max it, spam it, and whenever your mana rises above Volley mana cost times 3, you use it
EXAMPLE: If a skill's mana cost is 50, only use it when your champion is at 150 or higher.
Hawkshot=Your built-in ward.
Use it to check enemy jungle, your jungle, dragon, and if you think the enemy is doing baron. You can use it in bushes to check for ganks and so on. it also lets you get more farm.
IT IS NEVER A SUBSITUTE FOR WARDING. ALWAYS WARD. But just ward less.
You max your Frost Shot last, becasue you wont need it that much early game, only mid-late game during team fights. In a teamfight, always keep in on, and when your attacking an enemy champion or monsters such as baron, dragon, or red and blue buff monsters. when your farming, or clearing out a minion wave, getting turret, turn it off. with phantom dancer, make sure you watch that its off even more, or you can drain mana fast.
Enchanted Crystal Arrow=EPIC ARROW TIME!
This awesome ulti, can take some time getting used to. make sure you can skillshot well, or you know at least 80% where an enemy is in the fog of war before using it to finish them off, or engage. A massive stun, up to 3.5 seconds.
Always turn on Frost Shot before engaging in a 1v1 or teamfight, then ulti the enemy you want to take down. then use Volley, whenever its cooldown is over, contuiously. You combo should be Q+R+W.
MAKE SURE YOU WATCH YOUR MANA BEFORE ENGAGING!!! if you run out in the middle of the fight, you either die or waste a ton of mana.

STAY BACK. WAY BACK.
You have a low health pool, under 2k before banshee veil, and you can get 2 shotted easy. Stay back, and autoattack, and spam Volley.
Once your tank and off tank engages, USE YOUR Enchanted Crystal Arrow STRAIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE FIGHT, AT ENEMY CARRIES AND SUPPORTS. Doing this, you can slow and stun nearly the entire enemy team and let your team wreck them. Also, The time it takes for your arrow to traves across the map from your nexus to enemy nexus is about...8-10 seconds. so you could pick up a assist if you see a enemy about to be ganked by shooting your arrow where the enemy might run to or where he might engage.
(you can KS with it, but dont)
Farming-Early to Mid game
Make sure you last hit alot.
I like to basic attack a melee minion 2-3 times, then switch to another, attack it 1-2 times, then get the last hit on the one you just attacked, and then switch to another minion. 2-3 attacks, switch back and then get another last hit.
Grab blue and red buffs whenever you can, unless you have a jungler. If theres a jungler, ask first or steal enemy buffs. but be careful when going into enemy jungle alone, espically if enemy champs are MIA.
Tips and Tricks
If you were forced to recall, and your at mid lane, AND your lane is being pushed, If you have Teleport, send your ulti down mid, use Teleport on your tower. When your ulti hits the enemy champion, start attacking the enemy champion with Volley and Frost Shot. This will almost ALWAYS give you a kill, since your arrow exploding should kill most of the minions also. Here's an example /league-of-legends/ability/hawkshot-65
Warding and Counter-Warding
To make sure you dont ever get ganked, in case the other lanes dont call MIA or you have bad map awareness, here are good places to ward, so you can protect yourself and your jungle.

One way you can tell if a area is warded is if a ally comes to gank, but your lane opponent runs back to his turret.
You can also detect their wards by buying oracles(400g) and Vision wards(125g) which let you see anything stealthed in their range. But only get oracle if you are sure you will not die, or its a waste of 400g. Also you really shouldnt buy it unless the enemy team has a stealthed champion like Twitch or Shaco. Also, if you cannot buy an oracle, buy a vision ward and place it in the area where you push/farm/fight mostly.
