The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey guys and welcome to my first build. Pretty much this build tells of a tank running round Summoners Rift dealing insane damage, in style. I've played alot of sion builds but none apart from this one made me want to have his children. Pure tank sion really doesn't do alot except for not die (the other team will soon forget about you) and AP sion really wastes his ult which is one of the better ults in my opinion. Also every team needs tanks and DPS/tank sion cuts everything for him. (excuse the pun)
Loads of people look at my masteries and go ae. Pretty much I take quickness to chase down anyone unlucky enough to be seen by Choppa', increased mana cause his mana pool is pathetic, increased exp because a beast that is over leveled is just insane and a bit of damage just to spice it up a little. By spice I mean own more.
Heal. I know. Noob. Plain and simple it gets you kills. I dont play ranked so all I do is sit behind the tower and recall on an eighth health and recall, wait for a cocky bastard to tower dive, stun, attack and get a kill. Works like a charm I kid you not. Ghost is just to get out of those sticky situation or to chase down a particularly fed tristana. ( sion likes his meat fed)
Not to disregard any other summoner spells you want em' go for it especially ignite or flash.
So I start with a Regrowth Pendant to stay in the lane for ages and a mana pot.
On my fist return I try and get boots of speed, a Vampiric Scepter and perhaps a mana pot.
The speed helps with chasing and running while the lifesteal counteracts the health cost on enrage.
From there I rush a Wartmogs for some intense early level health (with damage from enrage)
Executioners calling is helpful next and Atmas is perfect with 4000 health.
From there its a toss up between starting a zeal for movement speed and attack speed or just gunning the IF. Unless I am destroying I go for the zeal and then IF finishing the Phantom Dancer after.
With this Build you will end up with over 4000 health and 250 damage with about 80% crit. I often dont need the extra crit and lifesteal by the end and so if that much money is there Il swap it for a black cleaver or maybe a Banshees veil.
The key to sion.
LAST HIT. Again, LAST HIT. Put on enrage and last hit every minion in sight. 3 extra HP per minion kill sound nice? thought so. It increases your health and therefore your attack with Atmas.
You are tank so be right up there. Pop the ult (100% lifesteal and 37.5 of that goes to your allies) stun the squishy use the shield and eat everything. Squishy first.
My favourite champion to lane with is Teemo, just because of the amazing annoyance his poison is.
Any constant damage dealer is good however like jax or nidalee.
In my personal experience of the game is that if your over leveled you will own. So dont worry too much about ganks or kills until about lvl 14 when everyone is lvl 13-14. By this point you should have around 150 minion kills and so you will have half of your build aswell as a nice HP boost from enrage. LAST HIT. If you find yourself low on health run into the jungle pop the ult and regan it ALL. Yea ALL! This way you wont loose out on as much xp as recalling.
So thats my first build done on the walking tank of a champ sion.
Vote, comment a bit of constructive criticism would be nice And just give it a go, tailor it a bit and you'll love sion as much as I do.
