Welcome to my build i'll try and make it detailed without being boring :D

1. Item Build

First things first the item build i put up isn't the exact one, they don't have the new items on the site yet so please read this if anything.

First:
pick up your doran's ring and also either a health pot or mana pot depending on your lane/makeup

Second:
next item is your boots of speed followed by giants belt.

Third:
Boots of Mobility followed by will of the ancients *this is not in the list*

Fourth:
pick up your rylia's

Fifth:
after that abyssal scepter

Sixth:
Zonyas for your last item.
if the game goes on long enough sell the dorans and get a staff of the void. alternately sell your doran's anytime after your giants belt if you need the money boots are very important and ive sold dorans right after giants belt just for them.


2. Spell Justification
Alright easy choice in my mind Clarity will keep you in lane a long time easily long enough to have 2-3k before your first trip if your playing well.

Ignite also a no brainer IMO Malefic visions + ignite = death or at the very least in low levels theyre leaving the tower for base

3. Mastery Justification

This is not a standard build but bear with me it'll make sense i promise.
as you can see by the runes i like damage but yet my mastery says defensive wtf?! well calm down and take a look.

Offensive:

3/3 Archmage's Savvy
goes along with our other 18 ap per level runes

Defensive:(some of this tree is boring so ill just hit the highlights)

Strength of spirit - Staying power
Veteran's scars - helps deny that early kill
Ardor - here's the beauty of defensive here extra 2% ap and another 2% at 18
Tenacity - The ultimate killjoy. i live with less than 50 life a ton and its all because of this bad boy

Utility:
Perseverence - staying power

last two points are pretty optional but either
2 in good hands
or
1 good hands 1 expanded mind

4. Strategy/Skill justification

Your main goal is to harass, harass, harass.
if your in mid take a health potion instead of mana
a double lane i generally go with a mana potion

get your ignite and malefic on a target as soon as possible. get your ignite on cooldown so by the time your ready to gank at 3 or 4 you have it back and theyre low life. your whole goal after the initial assault is to keep pushing them back with null zone and hitting them with malefic whenever you can get close enough. usually only use call of the void sparsely when i know its gonna hit and to interrupt a spell least important spell in this build. as a side note try and use your mana potion after your first clarity. once you get your ultimate your goal is to get a target in your null zone and then stun with neither grasp followed by a malefic visions. main goal is to get them on the null zone with the stun.

*Notes on lane pushing/farming*
use malefic visions on a lower than full life mob and attack it. everytime a mob dies with it on them it moves to another with full duration so just pick something and attack the mob with visions everytime and you can push any lane with the best of them. also if you cast at the right time you can get a bounce to a player if you cant get to them normally.
