Runes

The runes I use for nocturne is attack speed. This can bring your attack speed up to about 31% attack speed at base. Considering the fact of his base dmg it seems to work well, also it gives more hits on a target while they are feared at the beginning of the match.

Item Sequence

The first item you will want to begin with is Doran's blade. This gives you increased health, dmg, and lifesteal for beginning game. Next you will want to get a vampiric scepter to increase your survivability while laneing decreasing the times you will have to recall for health. Then you will want to work on buying the Phage. The phage will give you increased health, some dmg, and a chance on hit slow effect which can be useful when chasing down a weak enemy. The next item to get is the BF Sword, this is needed to build into Bloodthirster which will give you increased dmg and lifesteal. After this finish building the Frozen Mallet. The Frozen mallet will give you a good amount of health to fight longer in battles and also to chase down enemies with ease because of the chance on hit slow. Next you will want to get boots of swiftness. You will not need the berserker greaves because of your runes and you will get more movement speed from these boots. Then you will want to work on a phantom dancer. This increases movement speed, atck speed and crit chance. You will then want to build into an infinity edge after to increase you crit chance and dmg. The last two items you will build will be another bloodthirster and another phantom dancer.

Summoner spells

For 5v5s i recommend teleport and exhaust. This lets you maintain your lanes easily while shopping or after dieing. Exhaust will let you disable your opponent to make fights easier, or also can be used as a chase ability when in need of slowing your enemies.

Summary

This build i found very useful with nocturne. it enhances the effects of his own abilities very well from what i have experienced when using it. The name Deathknight Nocturne came from the idea of how in WOW from the old Frost, Blood Talent tree. You can see for yourself from the effects has while fighting why i think this. This is my first build guide and i hope you all like it. I would very greatly appreciate feedback.
