This is a simple guide for building Jayce as a bruiser. The guide covers the core concepts, but nothing beyond it as of now. This means that it is not a Jayce bruiser 101 guide for new players. You are as a reader assumed to understand that building items like Last Whisper is not necessary against teams of assassins who refuse to build armor, while it is critical to build such items if you plan to do damage when facing tank teams.

Ravenous Hydra

This is the core item of this build. It gives Jayce a very good amount of pure damage as well as both sustain and life steal. The passive will only proc when you are in melee form, which means that you won't be forced to push the lane in order to last hit with it.

Frozen Heart and Spirit Visage

These two items together give you a good amount of Cooldown Reduction, as well as good survivability on the front line. All in all, bruiser Jayce can make good use of all these stats on these two items.

Zeke's Herald

Zeke's Herald

This item won't make you op, but the cooldown reduction, health is pretty good on Jayce. What makes the item shine though is the attack damage and life steal aura which will help your team out a lot. This item is cost efficient when you're standing near at least one other champion, and in early dragon fights and the like it makes a huge difference. If you plan to get it, get it early.

Trinity Force

This is a good item to build after Hydra when you are way ahead of your opponents. If you still build durable enough afterwards you can make great use the sheen proc by shifting back and forth between stances and using abilities during fights.
