Well thanks for the reply anyway. Sorry to hear you don't like my choices.
I would argue that spellvamp isn't that bad on Diana. Spellvamp restores health based on how the damage that abilities do, which happens to include her passive procs. Now, seeing as her three damage abilities happen to do a lot of damage, it burst heals her. It's a good early item in my opinion because it's cheap, gives her a fine amount of AP, and can be sold off mid game for something better. Buying a hextech revolver helps her just as much as it helps Akali, which happens to be an almost identical champion as far as kit goes. Buying just the revolver also isn't committing to spell vamp, it's not like wasting a slot with Will of the Ancients. Guess I just don't see what's so bad about spell vamp for her.
Rod of Ages is good on Diana, and I'd agree it would help out mid if you're up against a burst caster. Nothing is a must-have item on a champion, especially a counter champion like Diana is mid. Regardless, I'll try out RoA when laning and see what I feel about it.
Also, I did go and read some of your other comments. You seem to really hate Hextech Gunblade for her, which doesn't make much sense. She has naturally high attack speed which helps her sustain from the lifesteal and I previously mentioned how everything she does procs spell vamp healing. The active on it is just great for dueling/shutting down healers/chasing people and is more damage still. Plus, if even has ability power on it and is a natural build if you pick up an early revolver.
Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to at least comment and vote. It's much appreciated and, again, sorry you didn't like my approach!
