Hi, my name flashgordin and i am here to show you how to properly build diana to burst down enemy champions in a second. I know Diana is a new champ but i feel like i played her long enough to figure out how she works and im glad to share it with you. I recommend you reading the full guide if you want to use diana's full power.
now that i introduced myself lets go right into the gameplay of diana. Diana is an ap based champion which relies on skill and quick decision making skills. I play Diana to quickly burst down (hence the name) squishy ap's and ad's to help my team and hold do most of the ap damage. When i play Diana i recommend her being played in the top lane. But of course some players want to play her in different positions. As Diana top your job is to farm as much as you can get as many kills as you can top then come and help your other teammates.
To start with items i usually start with a speed boots and 3 health pots but in some cases where your going against a champion with lots of sustain for example volibear or nasus you might want to keep up with them and start with a dorans ring for the ap and the mana regen. next i get a dorans ring if i havent already started with it after that i go with a kage's luck pick just for the ap and its a bonus to have that extra gold income as a passive. after that i want to do a bit more damage as it gets later into the game with the blasting wand then i want to finish my boots so i get a sorcerer shoes for that magic penetration and the movement speed. when it starts getting towards mid game i get my needlessly large rod for even more ap which will help me keep up with the other ap's next i finish off with a rabadon's deathcap. Next i build a rylai;s crystal scepter for some utility,a lichbane for more mr and the passive,mana and ap and to finish off i get a nashors tooth and a will of the ancients for some attack speed to work with my passive and so spell vamp for more sustain.
Runes and Masteries
For Runes i like to get magic pen. marks mana regen per level seals flat ap glyphs and flat ap quints. for more damage. For masteries i put 21 in offense for that extra ap upper hand 0 in defense because she doesnt need much sustain to do damage and 9 in utility for some mana regen and some speed.
For skill sequence i engage a fight with my q to do damage and apply moonlight the i use my ult to close the gap between me and the target then i use my w for the sheild and some more damage. after that they should be down to about half 3/4 of health then when they start to run i e so they get pulled to me and slowed. then i q again for more damage then if they flash or some how gain some distance i ult again and that usually finishes them off.
This isnt a very big part of the build but it is still very important. for diana to clear a very big minion wave i use my q but make sure it hits all of them or most of them then if i need to i use my w and go melee so my passive can work and the orbs around me from my w.
