Great build, though I would suggest a few things: Don't start with a Sheen, you NEED boots. I start with magic pen boots and build sheen as second. Always go max Devastating Blow, even against squishies. One level in W gives 5 more damage, compared to ALOT of extra damage on Devastating Blow. Mercury Treads, Hextech Sweeper, Will of the Ancients and Abyssal Scepter are situational so change your build a bit:
Hextech Sweeper only if there's one really strong stealth enemy like a fed Evelynn. Abyssal Scepter only if against ap heavy team. Will of the Ancients only if there are atleast 2 more players who would benefit from the buff, otherwise stay with Hextecht Revolver. |

Here is my response: - When I build Sheen and no boots, I still get to the windmill a close first or second most of the time. With Ghost, Paragon, and my movespeed quints, Poppy is FAST. And once you get to the mill, obviously you have to fight, and Sheen is just too amazing on Poppy to give up. I HAVE speed, I NEED Sheen. Give it a try! - I don't build W primarily for the damage, but for speed; however, it DOES also give damage AND armor. If you're not hitting the cap (1875 enemy max HP at lvl 2) then DB only gains 20 dmg per lvl. 20 is still better than 5, but I'll take the movement. - Mercury Treads give both tenacity and reasonable magic resistance; magic pen is good but I'm not changing this. - Hextech Sweeper, you have a good point on. In fact, it's not even as good on characters that have long-term sneak like Eve or Twitch because you won't see them coming -- it's more for Akali, Wukong, etc. to stop them escaping after you burst them down. IMO sight potion is a better way to watch out for Evelynn and Twitch, unless you're dying a lot. Of course, if Eve is ninja capping and you're trying to counter her, it stops HER from escaping as well. ;-) - Abyssal Scepter not only gives MRes, but also gives decent AP AND reduces enemy Mres. That's magic pen for your allies as well! - WOTA is only a 900 gold upgrade from HxR. You get 40 AP and 10% vamp. If you were willing to pay 1200 for 40 and 15%, why not get the volume discount? Let alone that it helps your team. Basically, I'll agree that Hextech Sweeper is situational (Frozen Heart is probably a better "standard" choice, especially with the recent popularity of Graves), but I stand by the rest wholeheartedly. |

Have tried this build out about a half-dozen times and even on the exceedingly rare loss (1 in 6), I've thoroughly enjoyed playing it and felt like a valuable contributor to my team. My score isn't always the highest as I often spend more time killing things and less time capping than I do with other champions, as a result of, well, how scary it is. Well done. |

Used in game, without arm rune, using raw hp instead, went 19/2/11 on 3ad/2ap. OP build at start, but was getting hammered by ad alot, overall really good build though. Jeremy Trinsanity.
