Well this will be my first guide I've ever posted on this site after using it for quite some time because I think this build quite honestly just destroys. I won't be able to do all the spiffy things a lot of you do with your guides but I thought I'd share the wealth on AP Soraka in Dominion because I think shes quite OP.

For the runes I simply take MP Reds and Quins and AP per level Yellows and Blues. I chose these to maximize damage output by Soraka as you will be bot lane soloing another solo (unless you're against inexperienced players) so you won't need to worry about survivability in the start to mid game and late game your heals with be massive.

I start with a Catalyst since it tacks on some health and mana and also restores both upon level ups which in the start of the game goes very quickly so you won't have to B or worry about getting pushed back giving you the room to poke and or kill the other solo. Next You go into Spell Pen boots to get some more damage out of your moves. After you back and get boots try and lane as long as possible so you can back and get a Revolver and a Glacial Shroud in the same buy as this will give you a swift boost to your damage that will easily be unexpected in most cases. Then after the smaller items you start working towards the real damage in a Deathcap and Voidstaff then the rest is just upgrading the smaller items you've bought at the start.

For the SS I take the normal bot lane Garrison for easy fights on the enemy turret or if for some reason you're getting out pushed to simply fend off other minions.

Make sure your team knows that you plan to solo bot as everyone is picking their champions since most people think support players are well playing support. Watch carefully to your teammates health as the game progresses as your heal will be extremely helpful when pushing or defending turrets. Use your silence and heals on whomever needs them most and never worry about using Infuse to restore mana you're AP soraka NOT support. In team fights try to stand behind the more tanky teammates you have as you are not bursted down or taken out of commission completely by cc. If your team pushes while you do and are able to win in fights games should go by quick just make sure you ping and communicate as dominion is very fast paced.

Pros

- Great poke/fights from start to finish
- Lane sustain
- Crazy AoE and Silence damage
- OP team heal

Cons

- Die quick if game doesn't go moderately fast
- Must be ready to deal with opponents receiving backup from top
