The aim of this guide is to simple introduce and encourage Teemo as a potent counterpick to many autoattack ADs that populate the current dominion champion pool.

I do not ALWAYS play teemo, as I am a firm believer in counterpickng based off the enemy team's composition, but with the popularity of AD champions, he is more often than not a very useful addition to any dominion team.

Teemo/Shaco combo at windmill is practically an immovable defensive object so long as the friendly Shaco knows what you plan to do.

Pros / Cons

Pro's
+Blind negates AA damage
+DoT from poison eats tanky DPS
+Shrooms assist team and expose backdoor attempts
+Mobile
_____ Con's
-Squishy
-Global Taunt = Focused
-Succeptible to CC/AP burst

Summoner Spells

Ignite
Many auto attackers not only have a heal ability, but also will build Sanguine Blade, making lifesteal and healing a general problem with those types of champions.

Exhaust
Again, with AD champions that rely on auto attacks heavily, exhaust is a really good offensive and defensive tool against them. Lowering attack speed, movement, and damage basically means a free kill for you.

Masteries

This is the standard 9-0-21 set up you see on casters.

9 points in offense for the magic pen taking improved exhaust

21 points in utility primarily for
movespeed
spawn time reduction
cooldown reduction.

Considering you are picking Teemo as a COUNTER pick, the decreased cooldown on exhaust and Ignite is also quite useful

Starting Items

Berserker's Greaves
Attack speed and opening fight movement is always a plus

Dagger
Any extra attack speed you can get at those low levels helps. You want to hit them with your toxic shot as much as possible before they focus you.
_____

Health Potion
Being squishy you're going to take some hits from AOE or otherwise in the opening fight at Windmill. Use the extra gold leftover to buy one of these.

Core Items

With these items you will have a decent amount of both attack speed and cooldown reduction. The attack speed is imperative to get as much poison into your targets and apply on-hit effects. The cooldown reduction is important in order to place as many shrooms as possible. Given the fast paced nature of Dominion well-placed traps WILL get popped non-stop.

Nashor's Tooth
This item is perfect for Teemo. 50% attackspeed, 55 ability power and 25% CDR means more poison, more poison damage, and more shrooms. The 25% should be enough to get you to 39% with runes and masteries.

Malady
+AP, another 50% attack speed, and cheap components makes this a great item. The on-hit magic damage and magic resist shred synergizes really well with his kit
_____

Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Some much needed HP, AP to boost poison damage, and an added slow to your blind means most opponents will not be walking away from you alive. This also increases the slow on your traps.

Kitae's Bloodrazor
I generally rush this after Malady if there are a lot of tanky champions on the opposing team. When building this make sure to take the Recurve Bow portion first.
