Not Updated For Current Season
Hello! Welcome to my Hecarim Build guide! Hopefully I can convince you that hecarim
is one of the strongest duelers and team fighters with this build. I currently have level 7 mastery so it's safe to say i have played a lot of hecarim. I main Jungle right now and have almost 100k points on hecarim alone.
Hecarim is a viable pick in most circumstances. Not only does he have great team fight potential late game but his early ganks can completely tilt enemies. Devastating Charge gives him his gank potential and due to Warpath it gives extra damage as well.
Best Hecarim quotes
We all like a good quote. Here are my top three from Hecarim:
-"War is eternal"
-"Break their ranks"
Hecarim is a high mobility high damage tank which can be a very deadly mix. If hecarim gets behind you can usually come back. Hecarim also snowballs really well. Another upside is that hecarim can single handedly change teamfights. He's not bad at backdooring either.
-Can come back if behind
-Not a Lot of hard cc
-High Cooldowns Early - Mid
-Lacks good escape when Devastating Charge is on cooldown
-Early Mana Problems
When dueling in the jungle you should try to avoid confrontation early unless you have scuttle or a teammate roaming to help. Other than that use E+Ghost to engage then ult them and run them down.
Always start with your bot lane. The only time you should ever start with your top lane is if you know the bot lane side is going to get invaded. If you start blue side your path should be as follows: SmiteGromp > Blue > Wolves > Smite Raptors > Scuttle Crab (if you take top scuttle then look to gank top or mid. If you take bot scuttle look to gank bot or mid) > Smite Krugs > Smite Red Buff
In teamfights you can have two roles. The first being to peel for the ADC if you lack a support with good peel. The second being to initiate or counter-initiate in which case you will want to try to get an ult on as many of them as possible and kick a squishy one toward the front line after that once you fall below 50% health use your W. Make sure to Q every chance you get.
I Previously swore by this item but after experimenting a good bit I have moved this to a situational item. This item is still very viable but only if you really need the armor and are trying to go a more tanky route.
Black Cleaver is an amazing item for almost any top laner. I would recommend this item if you are going against an armor stacking laner and need to duel early to put them behind.
This item is very good when paired with streaks gage but if the enemy is heavily ad then buying this is a bad idea especially once you enter late game.
Warmog's is an item that can give insane sustain and health I only go this item when I am constantly needing to re engage before backing or if they have a lot of armor pen and I need to stay in fights longer. Do not buy this item if your team has at least one ocean drag. Late game hecarim regen with an ocean drag will make this purchase worse than many others.
Frozen heart is an amazing item if they enemy team is heavily attack speed reliant. If you have to constantly tank an ADC or even two (Damn ADC supports) this can be a good item
This item is absolutely unneeded with the other items in this build the only time it is ever necessary is if your team is lacking movement speed or the enemy has more than one crit reliant champion
This is my first guide and i will continue to update it. Please upvote and provide any constructive criticism you can. Thanks in advance :D
