I just don't want to argue against you because you forget 1 big *** major detail:

Ow yea, how are you going to fill your warmog's? When the time comes to buy your warmog's, mid phase usually will start and as far as I know, you're the tank. You will leave your cs to those who need it! And there is the answer to your HoG (free gold, free health and later expendable).

nice guide only you forgot to mention a few things:
in tips and tricks: you can use your ulti when you see an ally that is about to get killed from an attack (making him survive a turret attack after a fight under the turret/save him from dying from a karthus ulti. and so on)
secondly you wrote in there alot that quote:"your the tank and you are going to die"
now that is VERY not true if you truly are the tank you will NOT die and if you are a tank you are supposed to take damage instead of your team/negating the damage they will take.
now you also said your vorpal blade wont heal you for much in a fight and thats another mistake because when i play shen (vorpal + warmog's) i get so much sustain from my blade that even if i go 1v5 i wont die and i will survive from more than 30 secs and even get a few kills because vorpal also about vorpal it makes your party heal to but they dont get their heal from theyre max hp they get it from yours so the more hp you have during a team fight the more sustain it will give you and your ad carry's.

Amazing guide for an amazing champion!

This was one of my best, if not the best, games ever.
6 deaths.
5 of them I died to protect allies.
4 of them my allies were able to escape or to get the kill.

I actually played for ages with your guide (since the week before Shen was free last time, so it was kinda a month) and i think now it's time to thank you.
Shen is my favourite champ right now and i achieved some extremely nice scores with him, one being around a 7/0/9 and 20 min surrender by the enemy team.

P.S.: I felt like it was working better for me to take Teleport instead of Heal (epic tele ganks all over the map ftw :3), just wanted to underline this^^
