I'm not sure if this has been asked, but what's your opinion on Maw of w/e as a potential item on Olaf? I think it synergies well with his passive but I've tried building it before, in the middle of, and after Warmogs and haven't been able to experience the same lane domination as I normally do when rushing Warmogs.

is that udyr, tryderme or riven? i see your match history, you use these a lot recently? just want to know how you think about the well rounded champ selection :-)

so i'll just guess that u've never played 1 vs 1 with a good shyvana at top? believe me, same like olaf, u think u can zone her or ****? lol she runs like usain bolt and hurts like a train once she gets her wriggles, and she uses -closely- the same items that u use

Great Guide, I used it and came out 21/7/18 against a fed Kogmaw and a fed garen. A few alterations for the situation and I devastated them. I also enjoy the way you wrote this guide, thankyou

Well this guide is fantastic i now just got the time to read it cause it was really interesting me... also curious cause i was using another build(the one unders this) and besides being a jungler guide i played solo top anyway and i did a 14/4/11 eventough i gave them first blood and their laner was 2/0 against me... i guess that wiggles lantern really do the trick... i was always going for a frozen mallet late after warmogs and impaler but i noticed a lot of guys escaped me and i was just frustated i didnt had more Movement speed but ill try trinity force after reading your reasons and if i think about it makes sense... this build is pretty much what i do when i go nasus solo top and late game (With my Q well farmed as always) the enemy team is just shocked cause im doing triple kills and the "LoL Lady" is yelling LEGENDARY! at them lol anyway cheers and ty for the easy reading (really is) props for ya

I have tried Olaf with your second build for the first time and this are my results:

Thanks to your advice (I have read the posts ^^) I never lose solo top or 2v1, and I am protected of ganks thanks to the lantern (and I started to use wards more often because of this!). Thank you for your help.

Yes it's a good option as well when you want some more bite with your bark as well, particularly against squishy teams with loads of magic damage, where the Ad will be put to good use.

Vrs tanky teams with less damage, a FoN will outshine the Maw. Use your own good judgement :)



Udyr is my counter to melee champs reliant on mobility, Lee Sin, Riven, Renekton, etc. They have to come to you, but the trading fails hard vrs Udyr. You out damage them with tiger, and out sustain them with Turtle. You play like a wall of thorns, standing between them and their CS.

Tryndamere is good vrs squishy champions. He counter Vlad and other AP solo tops particularly well.

Riven is a pretty safe first pick, because most of her lanes are skill match ups, and she has a skill order for most scenarios.

Lee Sin is Lee Sin. He's just banned too often or you'd see more of him in my history as well. He's like a watered down version of Udyr with much better mobility.

Those are my solo Q stompers right now :)

Olaf WOULD be too, but he's just so vulnerable to ganks.



Mmmm Shyvanna gets armor and MR in her kit. Olaf gets true damage and armor and MR in his kit.

It's not free win, AKA it's a skill match up, but Olaf can surely win the lane if you play the match up properly at all.
