Hi i'm a Gold thresh/bard/Ekko main on multiple accounts, and i thought i would love to share my experience with this champion for the entire COMMUNITY to see.

If you leash your jg and come back to lane to get some cs u can get all three front minions if your opponent is sensible, with grabbing all 3 with your Q. as that is your ability you will start and max for the game.(not including tank Ekko.) then you will attempt to last hit and DO NOT PUSH THE WAVE INTO THEIR TOWER, as it will be very difficult, try to have the wave against your tower, but if possible AT LEAST a lane freeze. And try to keep this as long as possible, as it will be very beneficial to jg ganks that will get u a easy kill unless you are unlucky enough to fight a zed or leblanc in early lane, cause they have very useful escape mechanisms, other then that only push the wave to their tower when u r going to roam to top or bot, or exert pressure on dragon pit area.

-With ganks-Try to w them when u see your jg coming because you can slow, stun, shield yourself with your W & Q, as they will most likely get a kill if you time it right.
-WITHOUT ganks-YOUR PASSIVE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. you will attempt to land a w with your starting w animation hidden. Then you will e to them as the w starts to end and slow/stun if u e on it, to stun them and give u a shield, then after you proc your first passive stack throw out ur q and auto. Run away. Repeat. Once you get them low enough you can do your combo
(W>Flash/E>Q>Auto Attack>Q Comes Back>Ignite>They Die.)

-Whenever you leave to gang bot or countergank bot you will probably get your tower taken if you make a mistake like leaving while the enemy's wave was pushed against your tower, like when you back, when you leave lane it is a must to have your wave pushed up. i can not deny the importance of this in lane. When you go to gank, when you're in a bush, w slightly behind the enemy top or bot laners then when they start to run, flash or e into the circle to stun and gain a shield, then do your stuff.

Tank Ekko is crazy strong when he is top. Do not try to take him mid. i have made my mistakes with this. Believe me. But When he is top and builds health he is extremely strong because his ult's health regen scales off of PERCENTAGE HEALTH. IF YOU BUILD HEALTH NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE REGENING HEALTH LIKE CRAZY. YOU WILL STILL DO YOUR ABILITY'S BASE DAMAGE, PLUS THE LITTLE AP YOU GOT. so point is, tank ekko is not just viable, it is AMAZING.
