Tips And Tricks
After you get level 3, check if there's a gankable lane, if there isn't, keep jungling until you're level 4. Elise is one of the best gankers in the game and her early game will decide the whole match, most of the time. Try being creative with your rappel, when ganking. Sneak into lane bushes, rappel through walls, stun into rappel or rappel into close range cocoon, as you think it's better. Elise's damage is insanely high so you should gank lanes that can secure kills with CC.
Elise is also good at forcing turrets early due to her being hybrid range.
Mid game is where Elise shines the most. After you get your two Magic Pen items you're going to melt enemies with your combo. Try to catch enemies off-guard in bushes, make sure you have control of the whole map, including the enemy jungle, if you're ahead, and start snowballing the game to victory.
In teamfights you will want to jump the enemy carries to kill or zone them. Zhonya's Hourglass helps you disrupt teamfights if you jump onto enemies and then use its active ability. If you feel like protecting your carries is more important, Elise excels at melting tanks and stunning bruisers diving into your team. Make sure you use rappel to descend on the right target.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Elise is rappel's most tricky ability. It may kill you or save you, depending on how you use it. If you click the ground, you will be granted vision of nearby enemies, including neutral camps. After that, you have a few seconds to choose where to jump to. If, however, you click an enemy, you will descend immediately upon him. Mind this ability's long cooldown, especially if you recently changed to human form (you can't see the cooldown counter for rappel while in human form).
This ability can also be used to dodge enemy abilities, like Zhonya's or Fizz's Playful/Trickster.
Tanking the jungle with Spiderlings
Try to balance your minions tanking the jungle vs letting them do some dps while you tank it. The spiderlings give you good sustain and add good damage while W is active, but you can also use them to tank the jungle in some situations if you don't want to lose health.
Elise's Main Combo
Your main combo to kill an off-guard enemy will be Cocoon > Neurotoxin > Volatile Spiderling > Venomous Bite (while activating skittering frenzy somewhere in the process). If you follow-up with one or two more Venomous Bites enemies should be dead. If an enemy is still alive, don't be afraid to go into human form to land Cocoon again when it's off cooldown, into Neurotoxin, just to go back to spider form again and kill them.
Pros And Cons
Both Current and Missing % HP damage in one ability.
Sight revealing long range gap closer.
Incredibly long range stun (similar to Amumu's bandage toss).
Very good duelist .
Great at picking off out of position targets.
Late game presence is weak if not ahead of enemy.
Slow jungle route without blue.
Not very good at jungle recovery.
AP Ratios are low.
Provides no buff or steroids to team (unless building as a support jungler).
