This guide for Evelynn is based on the youtube video that riotgames made. This is just easy access to the guide instead of watching the video to see the thing you need.

The runes have a mix so you get a good attack damage as well as defense and movement speed. Feel free to change the quintessences to attack damage, the movement speed is to help with running away/ganking enemies.

The masteries have attack damage/ability power for damage, and defensive/movement speed. Again feel free to change any attack damage or ability power for speed in the utility section.

These items are primarily for assassination. It has a mix of AD/AP.

Pros:
Very good at attacking/ganking.
Mildly defensive.
Very good at team fights.
Very fast
Cons:
Need to have alot of gold to buy all of your items.
Stealth sucks.
Likely to get focused in team fights

It is possible that you are going to be focused, so use your ult when the enemy team is in a group. This will slow them down and give you some armor. Position yourself so Hate Spikes hit as many enemies as possible and ravage the main target. If you should fail at the team fight, just Dark Frenzy and get out of there.

For farming, line up minions so most of them are hit by Hate Spikes, so you can get as much gold as possible for minion kills. If you are in the jungle, it might be a good idea to ward the area first so you know the best escape rout in case enemy champions decide to gank you.
