Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First off: This is my first guide, so don't put me down too badly. Although i do have quite a bit too say that most people will tell you not to. Read on.
The runes are setup for 4 things. Pure crit chance & crit damage. On top a spice of attack speed. They're all necessary for nocturne. He feeds on crits & speed. I wouldn't know what else to say about this.
To round it off, it has cooldown reduction to be able to cast your spells just that bit faster.
The item build is somewhat different than others. I've looked at Nocturne's abilities, and they're very much built on killing your foe fast. And keeping them near you as much as possible.
I start with
for early game survivability. NO it's not for jungling. It's purely to survive early game, and it works.
On the first trip back, i buy
The boots for obvious movement speed, the heart of gold for the fast gold + some survivability added. It gives you that extra notch to be able to jump under towers. And it's easy to get start game. If enough cash left, i buy
You just need to be able to go from top to bot for ganks as fast as possible.
Second trip back, i pick up
It's easily said the most obvious pick. Yes it gives AP, but you're taking it mostly for the attack speed stacks. It's fairly easy to obtain, and gives you a nice bonus.
Next up i'm going for a
Must not be hard to guess why, all the bonusses is what nocturne needs.
After the phantom, i go straight for
This item is GREAT for nocturne. It gives you some more survivability, the active slow is PERFECT for ganks, and it's just an all-round perfect item.
After that, the 2 items that everyone gets
Although i generally don't get to bloodthirster before the game ends. Just with all the items above & the scepter you should have enough lifesteal to kill pretty much anything.
It's a build that focusses on both start, mid and endgame. I've tried this a few times, and every time so far it turned into a win for the team, and everything being easy to kill.
Try it out, tell me what you think. Will update if necessary.
