Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is my second guide and I desided to choose ezreal the prodigal explorer for it.I wil add AD and AP ezreal here. Remember that you need a different way to play each cause you will depend on different builds, skill sequence and masteries. Both builds should be a bit hybrid. The dominion build is a strongly AP build because AP characters have an advantage in dominion.
The marks are simple and don't think they need furher explanation. Seals are damage too but with some CD because Mystic Shot is AD based and almost a sec CD with Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Glyphs give AP and Magic Penetration and a little CD. The Quintessence for movement is because ezreal can be slow at the beggining.
The marks give AD but only for Mystic Shot, not for Basic Attacks just like every AD you see in the AP built. I prefer the Seal of Fortitude just because there isn't a better choice at seals. Replace it with whatever you want. Only the glyphs are AP because AP can be obtained throught items and because only glyphs give remarkable AP.
Both armor and magic penetration in usefull on Ezreal. More mana means more skills and ezreal has very low cooldowns so you will use skills more often. If you are out of mana you are almost useless in dominion. All per level runes are better in dominion because you will level up very fast starting from 3.M
The masteries are the simple AD ones but with the CD. You can cut two points from utility and give them to CD. AD Ezreal mostly means Skillshots with Mystic Shot and only when you have a sure kill jump in with Arcane shift.
The AP masteries are the normal ones with every simple AD I could find to aid Mystic Shot. Armor Penetrarion goes there too. Executioner helps because you will start with Essence Flux and Mystic shot so you will bring your target below 40% fast.
The items are kinda hybrid AD with Att speed. You can change something for a defensive item. Remember that you have 1790 hp without any health from items, glyphs or masteries except the blade which you will sell to make space for the last item.
The AP items are hybrid too but the both AP and AD are very high. I will remind you that AD is for Mystic Shot and not for Basic Attacks. Guinsoo's and Lich Bane are a good combo for ezreal along with his Passive Ability.
I don't think that futher explanation is needed for the sequence because in both builds you need to get Mystic Shot or Essence Flux at lvl 5 first depending on your role.
The spells are simple. Exhaust is esential because you are slow and your abilities are line based and if your target is already out of range then you will never reach him. Don't worry cause your Trueshot Barrage counters that weakness so you might choose Clairvoyance to land it more easily out of your teams line of sight. Flash is not reccomended because of Arcane Shift. You can take Surge or Ghost for maximum Att speed and mobility.
Farming with exreal is not very easy because your skills hit only 1 target except essence flux which ignores minions and your ultimate arcane barrage that must not be used for farming minions except if you plan to kill the whole lane. Jungling with ezreal is not a good choise too because it takes too much time.
Well Ezreal is a very easy champion to play but needs a little practice to fight skilled opponents and teamfights. The guide is still under construction so be sure to see more information on how to play the prodigal explorer well.
