Not Updated For Current Season

Some people says "Ezreal AP is useless", but i swear it is not like that.
i did try this build and owned and entire team.
my first spell (mystic shot) dealed about 700 damage ezery 2 sec (thx to lich bane)
second and third spell get about 75% of your AP (which is around 650) and deal magic damage.
ultimate (trueshot barrage) takes 80% of your AP which means (at level 18) 650 base damage + more than 400 given by AP = about 1000 damage.
EZREAL AP IS NOT DEAD! =D
this mastery page is kinda open.
it allows you to decide as the game starts wheter to build up full AP or hybrid.
then it is up to you. you can either play with mage masteries (9-0-21 or 10-0-20) or fighter masteries (23-6-1), if you prefer more mage or DPS
i base my harass on the first spell for 2 reasons:
- COOLDOWN: ar you take your first spell up to stage 5, you can shol it every 2 sec (without boots) if you hit something. it deals much more than you damage and hit from further, so you can easily disturb the enemy champ.
- MANA COST: Ezreal first ability doesn't cost a lot of mana. remember that Ezreal starts with 280 mana and the first ability uses 40 mana. you also have 12 mr/5sec at the beginning of the game. if you start using second and thirst spell you soon run of of mana. EZREAL WITH NO MANA IS DEAD.
after 1st spell i maximize ulti and second spell. Arcane Shift (3rd spell) is useful to join and escape with the teleport, but as you cannot decide 100% who to hit, it is not so usefull to maximize asap its damage.
this is the rune set i sure to play.
it gives me 14 magic pen, which allows me to get ionia boots of lucidity for cooldown instead of magic pen boots.
furthermore it gives me 175 lfe at level 18, just enough to survive most times.
blue runes are for mana regen at levl 18 (+8.9 mr/5sec), indeed ezreal is the best caster in this game. to allow you to spam you first ability without getting too low on mana before you buy archangel staff it is necessary.
btw my rune page can easily be changed, maybe putting up some flat AP runes.
i take Hextech Gunblade as last item because in this build you have no life steal nor spell vamp, therefore if u loose life u get it back really slowly.
otherwise you may get Rylaigh Cristal Scepter, so you'll have 700 more life and 80 AP, but it is up to you.
usually i never get so far so it is up to you. if i can get builded we win long before my last item.
anyway i suggest you to keep Doran's Shield until you have to substitute it with your last item. it gives you 120 more life and some health regen that is quite useful all game long.
but at last yeh, sell it and buy more AP! =D
Pros / Cons
Ezreal with this build is a great mage-carry.
the more ability power you get the less trouble you'll have.
there is just 1 problem.
untill you get lich bane completed you are too fragile and deal not so much damage.
if you keep farming at first using your first spell (easy to do), you'll soon become enough powerful to harass.
obviously you cannot join the first for first. a tank or a off tank must joing first, otherwise you'll die.
the combination Arcane Shift + Flash is great to escape either in the middle of the lane (when ganked), and also in the jungle, flashing behing 2 lanes of trees.
