Introduction

(Note this guide is best suited for PREMADE Teams to ensure you receive jungle buffs)

Ezreal is a very fragile champion. Easily shut down, and doesn't fair too well against tanky champions.
This guide isn't too make you the be-all-end-all carry everyone wants to be, it's simply for you to take mid and make it your own.
Ezreal is certainly a champ that excels in the mid lane, and has amazing damage early game, not many other players really understand how powerful Ezreal is til it's too late and from then on out, you can control how things pan out till late game.

Ezreal is I find a champion who can really produce a solid base for a good late game, providing you have others in your group who can carry on what you have done. Otherwise you can really play aggressive and get an early surrender.

Masteries/Runes/Skills/Spells

Masteries are fairly simple, 21/6/3 I don't take 4/4 in Alacrity because of Ezreals passive and the extra 15% Magic Pen and Ability power when your Ignite is on cooldown does come in handy more often then not.
6 in the Defensive tree makes you less squishy for mid, and the 3 in Perseverence Allows you too stay mid for longer.

For runes im running 9X Armor pen Marks, 9X Flat 0.43 Damage Seals, 9X Flat cd % Glyphs, 1X Armor pen Quint and 2X 2.25 Damage Quints. Simply put, the early game damage out-put is far superior too that of Damage Per Level runes. And this guide is all about early game advantage.
Armor pen Runes simply too mitigate your enemies armor, dealing more damage which is exactly what we want.
cd glyphs can be changed for Magic Resist or even armor runes depending on how confident you are mid, but personally I prefer the cd because I play super aggressive right from level 1.

For skills I simply level Mystic Shot and Arcane Shift First, Mystic Shot Has preference however.
Each time your Ulti is available get it, and level Essence Flux Last, you really don't need it early game as ad. Waste of time and mana.

For summoner Spells I got Exhaust/Ignite. Best for first blood plain and simple.
You also have an in-built flash for a get away mechanism so really this should be your only option.

Items

Items in the order I generally get them:

I start off ever game with Doran's Blade , Simply a great item to have first off.
Life, damage and life steal all in one cheap package.

Sheen Early game damage is increased, perfect for early kills.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity More C/D Reduction means you can get more Mystic shots in, helps increase you damage output.

Wriggle's Lantern Really amazing item, nice lifesteal, good damage, passive allows you too get blue and red buffs fast and also allows you a free ward to place as you wish. Enough said.

Infinity Edge Damage, crit % and crit damage %. Should be hitting hard enough to make almost anyone run away from you.

Black Cleaver If the game lasts this long, 9/10 times the team and or tank will be stacking armor to counter your damage if you achieved a good early mid. Again nice damage, but also armor penetration on hit effect that really helps nail those pesty tanks down.

(Should be selling the Doran's Blade by now)

Banshee's Veil Unless the other team is AD heavy, I usually pick up this for the passive and Magic Resist. Also the mana and health doesn't go atray either.

Playing Mid

Picking up your Mystic Shot You are ready too start being the aggressive player.

Don't attack minions other then last hitting, ezreal is amazing for last hits and thats all you should need for your farming. Making sure too keep an eye out for your opponent to make a mistake, moving into the open for you too land a Mystic Shot or even just a few auto-attacks but do not get them so low that they will go back.
At level 2 you shout be getting Arcane Shift and this is when you want too make your move, keep last hitting minions while patiently awaiting a mistake or an overextending harass, auto-attack until they retreat Arcane Shift Into position, Exhaust/Ignite and Mystic Shot away.
Usually always gets first blood, and makes the opponent aware of your aggressive play.
From here, save up till you have atleast 1400 gold while last hitting minions. Once you've hit the mark Blue Pill back to base and pick up Sheen , 2 Health and Mana Pots , then head back mid. If you need to go back before this pick up another Doran's Blade or boots depending on your opponents champion.

From here you simply want to play aggressive with only your auto-attacks and maybe a few Mystic Shot's if you know you will land them. Wait for another mistake and clean up the pieces. If you don't kill them and they go back simply switch for a gank on either side lane. Let your teammates know you are there and ready. And open with a Mystic Shot (unless 6. In which case you can open with Trueshot Barrage Followed by Arcane Shift and Mystic Shot, They will be dead before they know what hit them.) Auto-attack until they are either behind minions or in the bush, then simply Arcane Shift in exhaust/ignite if either are up and Q them too death.
It's really amazing how fast people actually drop before reacting too the fact you are there smashing their face. Compensate on their opinion of how weak ezreal is and show them that you are there to control the game.

Keep playing aggressive and getting ganks, don't leave mid for extended periods of time so their Middle champion out-levels you. Get Wriggle's Lantern And pick up red/blue buffs when you can.
Because this guide doesn't have Manamune Your mana is sap'd up very fast and you are vulnerable when oom.
From here you should have set your team up for a good mid/late game of even have the other team surrendering.

Summary

Ezreal is an under-valued champion, good damage output followed by an amazing early game.
He is skill shot based, so if you have high ping or are not confident enough to play him I do advise against it.
Although in saying this he is easy too learn, and after time can be mastered.

This is my first guide, so please feel free too poke holes and give me some constructive feedback. Would like too hear from some of the LoL Community.
