Introduction

Thanks to Searz for the awesome guide format!

I will not go through what the abilities do. It can easily be learned by reading the ability tooltips and simply using the spell.

Mouse-over any items or abilities to see their tooltip.

What and Why

Hybrid Ezreal is maybe the best way to play him. Because: AD only builds are best only early-game and AP only builds are very hard in the beginning, but ownz late-game. So: AP build + AD build = all-game ownage.

Masteries

I prefer doing 9/0/21 because it provides good CDR, mana and MS.

Of course you can go 21/0/9 as it provides good AD early game, but becomes useless late game.

Runes

Greater Mark of Fortitude
This provides some flat health for some early survivability.

Greater Seal of Shielding
This provides some magic res, which gives a little more survivability.
Greater Glyph of Shielding
Same as the seals.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation Greater Quintessence of Desolation
Also good for early game pwnage.

Summoner Spells

Recommended:

Ghost
Good for escaping.

Ignite
Don't you hate it when someone escapes at 15 hp?

Flash
Sometimes Arcane Shift is not good enough.

Heal
Ezreal is a very squishy champ.
This can be life-saving and is also a good choice.

Stay away from:

Exhaust
With Ghost and Flash and Arcane Shift you just don't need it.

Smite
This is a laning guide.

Teleport
Not such a bad choice, but if you're not @ mid you don't need it.

Revive
I don't know why I'm even mentioning it...

Skill Sequence

Q > E > Q > E > Q > R > Q > E > Q > E > R > W > E > W > W > R > W > W

First, max out Mystic Shot, because you're AD in the beginning and this is your only AD skill.

Second, max out Arcane Shift, because this is your escape/chase skill + you will need this when you start going AP.

And lastly, max out Essence Flux, which will be your second spammable skill and at that point you will have some solid AP.

Standart Items

Doran's Blade
Great for a starting item - additional health, damage and some LS.

Sheen
Combines very well with Mystic Shot and packs a real punch early game.

Manamune
Provides more mana for spamming and some bonus damage.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
MS and CDR.

Guinsoo's Rageblade
AP and damage boost, as well as some AS.

Rabadon's Deathcap
Your core AP item.

Lich Bane
Hits a lot combined with Mystic Shot and gives a little more AP. Great for late game.

Void Staff
Optional. If the game still hasn't ended get a Void Staff. Provides very good M.pen. and a good AP boost.

Item Sequence

1: Doran's Blade
2: Boots
3: Sheen
4: Ionian Boots of Lucidity
5: Manamune
6: Guinsoo's Rageblade
7: Lich Bane
8: Rabadon's Deathcap
9: Void Staff

First get Doran's Blade. This provides good survivability as well as some good damage.

Second, try and farm 1610 gold for your Boots + Sheen.

Next, buy your Manamune. This is the point where you start making some kills. Just keep spamming Mystic Shot and when he falls under 50% just Arcane Shift > Mystic Shot > Ignite > hit once and he's down.

After that, just keep going with the build.

Oh, and don't forget to buy an Elixir of Fortitude / Elixir of Brilliance when you have a little gold left - it only costs 250.

Laning Phase

The laning phase is pretty much like the other champions'. Keep last hitting minions and spam Mystic Shot on your enemies.

Team Fights and Late Game

At the beginning of a team fight you should execute your Trueshot Barrage. This will lower your opponents' health to around 50% which will make the team fight a lot easier. You just need to hit as many enemies as you can. After that just spam Arcane Shift, Essence Flux and Mystic Shot.

Late game, when you get your AP items you will start to pwn hard. When a team fight breaks out, you will seriously injure everyone with your Trueshot Barrage. And with Lich Bane your Mystic Shot will hit for around 600 damage every 2 seconds.
