It's 2xGunblade + arch staff + Lich bane + bloodrazor. Good guess.(not in that order ofc..)
But like with any build it's almost never a good idea to blindly follow the item build. You should adjust your items to what the enemy gets. Lots of mr? Get Void Staff(and so on).
Compared to a purely physical build you'll only lose the armor pen on Black Cleaver. But gain ~+100dmg on Mystic Shot, that's why I said +50.
If they wanna counter your dmg they would have to get both lots of mr and lots of armor. Why not let them? They'll lose loads of dmg potential if they do. When the damage you deal is half magic, half physical you won't need big amounts of penetration.
Would you trade 120auto-attack dmg for 330AP and +50 Mystic Shot dmg?
I would say it's a viable trade, but please tell me your complete build. Well, I guess it's something like Lich Bane, Archangel's Staff and Hextech Gunblade. Have you ever read this? It's underestimated imo.
I think you make more damage with your build, but your defensive stats won't be as good. What do you prefer? That's up to you.
Anyway; answer: "Would you trade 120auto-attack dmg for 330AP and +50 Mystic Shot dmg?"
The numbers are with complete builds.
2. Magic Penetration is very important for Ezreal 'cause his AP-Ratios are bad (.6;.75;.7).
-> Sorcerer's Shoes + Abyssal Scepter are almost a must-have.
So please give me a complete build, I can't decide about it but it sounds interesting. A good build (imo) is: Sapphire Crystal -> Boots of Speed -> Sheen -> Sorcerer's Shoes -> Needlessly Large Rod -> Lich Bane -> Zhonya's Ring -> Abyssal Scepter
But that's something I like about Ezreal. It doesn't matter if you play him AP or AD, he is very viable.
PS: Something I forgot to mention: AP-Ezreal is a bit more difficult to play imo. You're even squishier.
Btw; Would you trade 120auto-attack dmg for 330AP and +50 Mystic Shot dmg? I've been "investigating" other ways to build Ez.
-> Trueshot Barrage + 1-3 * Essence Flux + 1-3 * Arcane Shift + 5-15 * Mystic Shot => 600-1500 Mana per teamfight
-> 150 seconds to regenerate 1700 Mana (245 seconds with Manamune stacks)
Well, I tend to port back after teamfights and/or pushes anyways. Just play it safe. That's what I think works best for me.
Tooltip: Yeah, I know. I used it at first but suddenly it didn't work a weeak ago.
Edit: Works again, thx.
You lose half your mana-reg :(
@Empy
The golem buff is usually more useful in the hands of a caster. Just like the lizard is more useful in the hands of Ez.
Also, mid to late game, you could consider just throwing away Chalice of Harmony IF you can afford to get Golem buff and use it well. I've found that having that extra item slot for something else could be potentially beneficial if you can find a way to keep the Golem buff consistent.
