Mejai and zhonya's aren't important for this champ, everyone think that huge AP make him OP. but that isn't true - magic penetration is his main weapon, and also he must survive to end his ulti if he want to gank enemy team. They always try to stop you, so the best way is to gain some hp and a little of armor/m.resist.

i always use this build and i must say, that my stats are really nice at the end of the game : )

Summoner Spells:
no ignite. this is **** for fiddle, he need to survive and catch enemies. flash will teleport you to running in fear guys, and heal will save u if they try to kill u in biggest group. also, you can switch flash with exhaust - another good idea.

skill order - your main skill is drain, but if you like to harass enemies at the beginning then choose dark wind. if you fight in jungle, go to creeps like ancient golem and then dark wind will bounce from the creep to your enemy. you will deal even 1 k dmg with this combo. Using terrify is really important if you play 1 vs 1. first you shoot with dark wind, then terrify and at the end you drain life.

will of the ancients - at all it is bad item, but if we must choose for which character is the best - there we have fiddle. combo with drain, nice amount from dark wind and a huge one from ulti, which grants survivability.
