Fiddlesticks Build Guide by Chief Tiger

I have always liked this build. The only suggestion that I have if you want early AP gain is a Mejai's Soulstealer. I get the Doran's Ring then a Amplifying Tome, Boots, then Mejai's Soulstealer. I then follow this build. All in all great build I suggest this to anyone that is looking melt some faces.

I'd like to make a comment on your Abyssal Scepter VS Void Staff comparison.

First, and most importantly, when you calculate the Mpen you get from the Void Staff, you are forgetting that percentage penetration is factored after all flat modifiers have been applied.
That means that a 50 MR target would have that amount reduced by 10 through your passive (40), then you'd penetrate 20 from your boots (20). Then you'd push off 40% of that value through Void Staff, which would be 8 less MR, for a total of 12, compared to the -20 you'd get from Abyssal Scepter.
For Void Staff to out-Mpen Abyssal Scepter, you'd need a target with over 50 MR after all flat modifiers have been accounted for.

Second. You are forgetting that the Abyssal Scepter is a -20 MR aura. That means all your allies will get the full benefit of its penetration as well, and not just you, which is not the case with Void Staff.

Third and last (but not least). Abyssal Scepter comes with 56 MR for your own, which combined with your silence and sustain will make it hell for any AP champ to deal with you.

So IMHO, Abyssal Staff will outweigh Void Staff vastly, unless the enemy team is stacking heavy MR (In the hundreds).

TL;DR: Abyssal Scepter > Void Staff unless enemy team is made of >>100 MR champs due to it's MR and it's providing team MPen instead of personal.

Great build! It really works out. Although I have some different masteries. I change the health regeneration, extra gold, ward sight and the increased buff duration for extra cooldown reduction, experience and movement speed. The cooldown reduction allows me to change Morello's Evil Tome to Rylai's Crystal Scepter or a Void Staff in case they are overstacking MR. But it is in basic your build so thank you very much for this :)

Edit: I would also like to say that Fiddlesticks works as solo-laner in some cases if you have a jungler. Keep poking the enemy with your Dark Wind and when your mate comes for a gank, port out with the crowstorm and end them

And 'Edit:' again..... I can see why you have the extra gold (In a 50 minute game it gives 6000 gold and an average complete build is about 1400-1500 gold so it is quite helpful). But I still wonder if it's not better to have increased experience so you get an advantage over your opponents? Replies appreciated!

I like it, I usually play like this with a bit of variation to form to my enemy's but yea mostly that.

Ever thought about using Zonya's Hourglass? Combined with his ult it's pretty brutal
