Summary

Fiora play can be summed up as a vast valley of farming punctuated by occasional peaks of trade.

At her core are three trade sequences.

  • Q (champ) > autos > Q (champ): offensive sequence
  • Q (minion) > Q (champ) > autos: long-range sequence
  • Q (champ) > autos > Q (minion): defensive sequence
Effective mastery of the above sequences, along with effective use of W and E at the appropriate times, will allow you to master Fiora.

Skill Sequence

The biggest point of contention for Fiora is whether she should skill Q or W at level 1. W can help you deflect level 1 harass; in general, good players will try to autoattack you as much as possible at level 1 because their spells aren't mana efficient so early. It also gives you a much larger window to last-hit; something that can't be understated given the fact you're melee. On the other hand, if you are fairly confident that you will not be ganked early (i.e., their jungler had a poor start), leveling Q first can be extremely rewarding. Its level 1 burst in combination with your autoattacks and armor penetration runes/masteries can quickly take an opposing mage down to sub-50% health, or lower if they want to trade. An ignite will then finish him off.
