Hi, I'm Duskie, I play on EU West and bought Fizz pretty much as soon as he was released. This is also my first guide so bare with me and leave any criticism in the comments. I'm not the best player, but am far from the worst, so please, take your time to try out this guide and build before you vote, thanks.
Fizz, such a fun amazing champion, definitely worth the RP or IP, he is a pretty diverse champ, and who doesn't like seeing a giant shark pop out of the ground.
I play Fizz as an AP champ seeing as his abilities all scale of of AP and his burst damage is pretty insane. If you think he should be played differently, tell me how and why and I'll probably include it.
Pros / Cons
His skills are great for get away and damage, in some cases at the same time.
He is OP.
His ultimate is probably, imo, the coolest in the game.
Gets focused a lot once they recognised you're OP.
Can be hard to aim his skillshot ulti.
Straight 21/0/9 with these new masteries grabbing everything AP/MgicPen/Mana based in the offence tree and mana based in the utility tree.
I've personally not experimented with runes, but I generally go for Armour Pen Marks, AP per level Glyphs and flat AP Seals and Quints.
This gives you an amazing start AP.
If you feel you want more durability then you can replace the Quints with flat health.
I max W first, this is due to its amazing DoT. Fizz has been out for a few day, but I've already had numerous kills where and enemy has flashed away, under their turret and they've died from the DoT on this spells active.
I grab Q second for the ability to jump and catch up to an enemy champ. I max this last as E's damage is much better, well I feel it is anyway.
I max E second, this is due to it's damage, and it's usefulness.
Fizz's ultimate, well, I love it, it is amazing. It slows, knocks up, deals a ton of damage and looks freaking amazing. It's cooldown isn't too bad.
The order at the top is just an example, it depends who you are against, if you feel you need more durability, rush a Catalyst then a Rod of ages, if you are getting fed then rush a deathcap. It's really all down to you and how you like to play him.
I grab Flash and Surge, because of the great benefits they serve.
I've escape from situations being ganked by tridenting away and if they manage to catch up flash will definitely get you over a wall or by a turret.
Surge is great for you burst damage, you can probably half health you opponent of even 3/4's from your surge, E, W, Q combo. This is at level 3. And you just keep getting stronger.
Ignite is also viable and syncs well with your DoT, it is there for the moment due to surge not being added.
You'll generally want to mid.
You may find it a bit hard too because of Fizz's autoattack being melee, but the level advantage is worth it, just one of your harasses can do crazy damage.
Fizz is a great, fun and pretty amazing champ to play.
