Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
WARNING: Fizz is a difficult champion takes some practice to master! It is recommended you do NOT try him in a normal match for the first time!
Fizz is one of the most versatile champions in League of Legends. He can be played as an effective jungler, a stealthy burst assassin, an ad DPS, caster DPS, and even as a tank. It all depends on what YOU like. Try a couple of these builds, experiment, and find out what works best for you.
This build guide features primarily an early game head start with Fizz, allowing you to pull ahead early and stay ahead until you win or the other team surrenders. I will focus on explaining the strengths and weaknesses of each type of build and going more into depth about several of them. *MORE BUILDS TO COME SOON* **ALSO, I'M STILL IN THE PROCESS OF FULLY UPDATING THIS GUIDE AS IT IS NOW** Enjoy! :)
First on the list - Runes.
With Fizz, you want some sort of runes that will boost his durability because, although he is a sturdy burst caster, if you are caught off guard you will be focused and killed... immediately. You might also want a little bit of extra early game damage.
For these reasons, I recommend the set of runes above:
Greater Mark of Insight - These marks aim at giving fizz a healthy dose of magic pen early in the game to get that slight head start. Giving him a better early-game damage output, I highly recommend these marks.
Greater Glyph of Warding - Because Fizz is a somewhat squishy champion at the beginning of a match, these glyphs will help greatly increase your durability for the first couple of team fights. Again, giving him a better early-game start, I highly recommend these glyphs.
Greater Seal of Resilience - For the same reason as the glyphs, these seals will help greatly increase your early-game durability, allowing you to stay in that team fight long enough to come out on top, or even pull an ace in the first 15 minutes. Again, providing yet another early-game boost, highly recommend these seals.
Greater Quintessence of Destruction - As a primarily hybrid featuring build, these quints will come in very handy in the first several fights, giving you just enough "oomph" to get through that fight. Chances are, you'll do the most damage and the enemy team will do one of two things: die or run away. However, if you prefer to play fizz as a full AP burst, then the Greater Quintessence of Insight would be a great substitute for the exact same reason. Both quints are suitable in a normal match and both are very beneficial to your early-game fighting, and for this reason, I highly recommend one of these two quints.
