With Fizz, you need to punish them for several things.

1st: If they get within AA range at level 1 then you need to AA, E onto them and AA again. This combo will put them to half life. This allows you to back off and cs and then hit 2 and E-W-AA-AA-AA ignite.

Around level 3, if you're getting punished then you need to try to Q-W, E away but try to land on them a little because it'll slow them and allow you to get away. If you're not struggling then try to E onto them and go hard with as many AA's as you can. I highly recommend that you use Fizz as a counter-pick. I have played him enough that I can beat anyone with him but I'd recommend someone else for a first pick champion unless you're trying to be a One Trick Pony Fizz.

In ranked you are going to need to play safer. Try to achieve a KDA of above 3. The least deaths you have, the more effective you are. Also, you need to try to get at least 85+ cs per 10 minutes. This will make you a significantly better player. It's very important that you ward well and maximize your efficiency!

You have to just use your auto until you finish Abyssal. Once you have this AA 2 of the first 3 minions and E in the middle then Q back toward your tower. This allows you to clear very good and get back to your tower safely.
