Interesting.

A solid guide overall, except I would definitely get Rabadon's Deathcap before Morello's Evil Tome. And I honestly think you could do Sorcerer's Shoes instead of the Ionian Boots of Lucidity because you get Morello's Evil Tome and you have some CDR runes.

The skilling order is different too, I like that. But sometimes its best to max Seastone Trident first simply because of the poke and harass from it. Relying on Urchin Strike for most of your damage is both good and bad - good because it hits harder overall, and it will surprise them, but bad because it throws you into them at the same time.

Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power < Greater Quintessence of Ability Power in most cases. It takes the AP/Level quints a long time to catch up to the flat AP quints (around level 12 actually), and even late game, it hardly makes a difference (is 9ish AP really gonna hurt you that much?). Flat AP Quints + a Doran's Ring will start you out with a nice amount of AP for early game dominance. I also would go AP/Level Glyphs over CDR glyphs because of how well it scales into late game (if that's what you were looking for in the Quints).

When I play Fizz, I don't get any CDR and do just fine. The fact your guide has some is absolutely fine, but you don't need as much as you have there IMO (with items and your glyphs).

Nice job overall.

Changes: I fixed the runes (great advice there) and build order. Will test out Sorcerer's Shoes and quicker maxing of Seastone Trident.

I had forgotten to fix the order on the build, thanks for that reminder.

As far as Doran's Ring goes: I actually started with that as the primary build item but took it out recently. The reason is sustainability. With Doran's Ring, you have great damage, but no pots and a shallow mana pool. By getting Sapphire Crystal, you effectively double your mana pool and have more survivability. I still prefer Doran's Ring though, so long as the laning opponent is a melee (can go without the pots since there is low harass) or has weak/mediocre HP himself. This guide is for the average player (at least) and average game, so I had to switch it out.

I will test out the Sorcerer's Shoes and see how they fit in with this build.

I am not sure I agree with maxing Seastone Trident much earlier. Sure, it has great DoT, but unlike Urchin Strike which "throws you into them," Seastone Trident requires you to hang out with your new bud for a while to autoattack with that really slow AS - too long for an early game, squishy Fizz. For this reason, I take two points (enough for the ability to count) then use the Playful / Trickster in my combo to both shield me from damage after using the dash and to double the damage. I'll have to test adding a couple extra points in it a bit sooner though along with the Sorcerer's Shoes.

Very helpful advice on the runes. That increased the AP by 20 even with the fall from the Quints, and only resulted in a 5% loss in CDR - as minor a loss as any.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it and it helped quite a bit. Now I feel bad for my really short review on yours.

Feel free to check out my new Fizz guide and give me advice.

I agree that Doran's Ring is a good item but isn't always the best. Sapphire Crystal can be built safely against most for a quicker Catalyst.

Seastone Trident and Urchin Strike are both good contenders for maxing first. It depends honestly. Maxing Urchin Strike first will definitely surprise them, but once you close the gap, your damage from your low level Seastone Trident won't be too good. You will usually get 2-3 auto attacks off when you charge. Also, keep in mind that Seastone Trident is applied when you use Urchin Strike. Which do you think would do more damage?

Don't worry about the comment on my guide - it's fine :)

Heya, Ignatius!

In my personal opinion, I would take Improved Recall instead of dead hands, but that's me.

Great guide. Very informative too!

Seems like a good guide. Sorry it took me so long to review this. :/

I think you should reconsider your skill order (not sure about Fizz since I don't play him but generally want maxed by lvl 9 and 13)

Also your item explanations seem a bit off, for example why would you replace boots in any build? You should pretty much never do that, unless your one of those phantom dancer stacking Master Yi's who also gets a FoN...

Which should never happen D:<

And why replace anything with Mejai's, which is a terrible item, when you already have the Tome thingy?

And there was some other stuff like that too that confused me.

I'll cook something up. In the meantime, this is how:
click towards a wall, generally past the wall (so that in the meantime you can time the jump.) Just before Fizz runs into it, activate Playful / Trickster twice in a row, quickly. Note that only small through medium level walls can be jumped over, but if walls with one short side and one tall side (i.e. baron) can be jumped over from the higher ground. As well, most jungle walls can be jumped but these are hard to time and must be done in the thinnest parts of the walls, just like the nerfed Flash.
