Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
So, I know you want to try playing a few champions, but you should probably know some tricks for certain champs.
If you are not wanting to worry about farm, and you want to help out your team, the best position is support!
So starting out you should start out with a faerie charm, 3 wards, and 3 health pots (you can also go 1 health pot and 4 wards), but I wouldn't recommend so until you get better with the champion that you go 3 wards, 3 pots.
If you want to learn how to ward this article will tell you where, how and when to do so.
How To Ward!
Protecting your AD Carry
As a Support Character you must do whatever you can to protect your ad carry, now this doesn't mean always throwing yourself in front of shots from the other team, but it does mean not taking their farm, warding the lane to avoid ganks, and stunning, stopping, or slowing the enemy when they get too close.
If you are going bottom as a support character then you will always feel like you are lacking the necessary amount of gold for your build. It can get annoying to wait around while your ad carry farms and you are just sitting there, that's why you should get the extra starting gold and GP5 items. GP5 items are items like, Heart of gold and Philosophers Stone that will help you build items that can help your team. I always build philosophers stone by level 6 then build boots next. once I have lvl 1 boots I go for a heart of gold. once you have these items you should notice an increase in the amount of gold you are getting.
I wouldn't worry about these too much, I put the ones i use for reference but you dont have to worry about it too much.
Levelling up abilities
Start out with bandage toss or tantrum for an early a stun or some damage early game, level up tantrum first, despair second and bandage toss third, levelling up curse of the sad mummy at 6, 11, and 16 as per normal.
As amumu you should get tanky by level 10 or so, which normally is the end of laning phase (youve taken down their towers or they have taken down yours and have started to go into other lanes) when fights are starting you want to focus out single champions, usually the ones who are doing the most damage, or are carrying the team. this means stunning them, Crying next to them and having a tantrum every chance you get, if you notice that you have a few enemy teamates around you ult. your focus is that you can stun and slow down the enemy team to get assists like crazy.
Its Just a game
Whether you are winning and having a blast or losing like crazy, it took me a while to get over those loses and its cool to just stop playing for a while and take a breath. I've had to tell myself a few times when I'm frustrated, so what and just move on. Hopefully this will help!
