The 0/21/9 masteries give you tankyness and a lot of potentional to survive counter-ganks, invades and traps combined with your sustain. Also it gives you cookies.

The early attack speed gives you a huge clear speed and very nice sustain. The scaling magic resist and armor will ramp up to late game which will turn you in a nice tank with damage/sustain. the flat magic resist and armor runes give you your early game tankyness.

Start with your W for the attack speed to clear the camps faster and to get better sustain, then starting at level 2 max out your Q first for max damage output.
